    • Mr. Obama predicted that he would be successful but acknowledged the challenges, saying, “I’ve got a lot on my plate.” He added that there would almost certainly be “demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form or pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable.”

But in the most detailed outline yet of his timetable, the president said that he expected Congress, after completing work on health care, energy and financial regulation, to draft immigration bills this year. He said he would begin work on getting the measures passed in 2010.

    • Thirty-two percent (32%) of voters nationwide favor a single-payer health care system where the federal government provides coverage for everyone. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% are opposed to a single-payer plan.

Fifty-two percent (52%) believe such a system would lead to a lower quality of care while 13% believe care would improve. Twenty-seven percent (27%) think that the quality of care would remain about the same.

    • Action: Opponents of reform are organizing counter-demonstrators to speak at this and several congressional town halls on the issue to defend the status quo. It is critical that our members with real, personal stories about the need for access to quality, affordable care come out in strong numbers to drown out their voices.

Perhaps Pelosi should check with her allies about their tactics before labeling them "un-American" in the future.

    • President Barack Obama says Canada's government-run health care system works for Canada, but wouldn't work for the U.S.

He warned Canadians that they will probably continue to get dragged into the debate over health care changes in the U.S. by those who oppose his proposals.

Opponents of Obama's plan to reshape health care have contended it would result in a government-run system where people are denied care, as they say happens in Canada.

Obama said he didn't find Canadians scary but that they were proving a bogeyman for others.

    • To give this some perspective, it helps to recall that John McCain spent $126 million on advertising for the entire general election campaign in 2008. Why have the pharmaceuticals gone for ObamaCare in a big way? Obama promised not to use Medicare’s market advantage to drive down prices any more than the $80 billion already pledged by the industry. That’s basically price-fixing of a kind that the Federal Trade Commission would investigate if it involved a private-sector insurance giant.

Remind me again which side is Astroturfing and getting big, powerful firms funding their operation, and which one represents the actual sense of Americans on government-controlled health care.

Hillary Clinton: I Am the Secretary of State

Yeah, we know, Hillary that YOU are the Secretary of State. A little touchy aren’t you?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost her cool Monday after a Congolese student, speaking through a translator, asked her what “Mr. Clinton” thought about a Chinese trade deal with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

“You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?” Clinton replied, clearly irked by the thought of being her husband Bill’s spokeswoman.

“My husband is not secretary of state, I am,” she replied. “If you want my opinion I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband.”

    But, OOPS……

    There was a translation error.

But, watch the video and think what a BITCH Paunchy Hillary would be if she was elected President.

Obamacare: Un-American Attacks Can’t Derail Health Care Debate

I think Pelosi and Hoyer have lost their damn mind.

In the meantime, as members of Congress spend time at home during August, they are talking with their constituents about reform. The dialogue between elected representatives and constituents is at the heart of our democracy and plays an integral role in assuring that the legislation we write reflects the genuine needs and concerns of the people we represent.

However, it is now evident that an ugly campaign is underway not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue. These tactics have included hanging in effigy one Democratic member of Congress in Maryland and protesters holding a sign displaying a tombstone with the name of another congressman in Texas, where protesters also shouted “Just say no!” drowning out those who wanted to hold a substantive discussion.

    Let the facts be heard

These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades.

I thought dissent was the highest form of patriotism?

Now, if there is criminal behavior or violence that is one thing but heated argument and protest are quite another. If Speaker Pelosi wants to have legislation her way I challenge her to just pass it. She has a large majority of Democrat Party members.

But, this will NOT happen because her fellow Democrats are NOT stupid and wish to be re-elected.

This stifling of dissent and ridiculing of opponents ala Saul Alinsky will not only sink Obamacare but also incumbent Democrat members of Congress.

    Stay tuned…..

Day By Day by Chris Muir August 9, 2009 – Final Solution for Free Speech

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Let’s see a President who blames and then prosecutes his Presidential predecessor Administration and then when confronted with HIS OWN policy failures stifles dissent.

Nice work if the media helps you – which they are.

President Obama and his lackey’s in the Democrat controlled Congress are a piece of work.

But, will soon have to face those angry voters that they have been dissing.
