California Democrat Congresswoman Diane Watson Plays Race Card on Obamacare

California Democrat Congresswoman Diane Watson has been a FAR LEFT nut job for years. But, she represents a gerrymandered Democrat-safe urban Congressional district in Los Angeles County and unless she committs a MAJOR crime will continue to be a member of Congress.

Her remarks about Fidel Castro are really way too much beyond belief.

Can you believe Watson on Castro? I hope she would be one that Castro would take everything she had and distribute it to the populis. She’s for Castro and Chavez as long as she’s not one of the peons. She would like to maintain her status. She’s a joke and so is everyone that votes for her.

I can not believe a memnber of congress can be this biggoted and racist. I bet her back pains her from carrying such a large chip on her shoulder against white folks. It is people like her that will set race relations back a 50 years. I am so sick and tired of being called a racist ebc ause i do not agree with the presidnet. His policies are not mainstream, his policies will bankrupt the country, tuniong us into a socialist state. As a member of congress you are a pathetic excuse for a politician. Put the race card away stop speaking in ebonics and do what you were elcted to do!

  • Thomas Wormuth

Hmmm Racist do you think!! it’s ok for blacks to play that card but not whites…. It’s time for the silent majority to speak up. No more race card, no more special interest. This president, congress and senate are bankrupting this country! Proud member of the silent majority .

What a fat, stupid, ugly cow.

I guess they keep her around so Michelle will have someone to stand next to.

Dear Congresswomen watson, Tonight I heard what you said about those of us who disagree with obooma cause he is the first president to look like you. I disagree with his policies, so thus your statement is un-true. Now i accuse you and your black friends of agreeing with him just because he is the same color as you. It seems that wherever I go, this obooma guy can not do anything wrong just because he is black. Well there is plenty of us who are wise enough to tell the difference between good and evil regardless of RACE!!!!!! CSF

  • Bull Conner

Didn’t the great Bill Cosby say that “BLACKS can’t play the race card when WHITES OWN the entire deck”

Ms. Watsons comments were the last straw in accusing us whom are white as racist if we do not agree with the policies of the Obama administration. I am so sick of the worn out call for racism when we do not agree with Obama. I do not care if he is black, yellow, pink or brown. I care about his policies, where he is leading this country and about the radical Czars he has appointed and the radical policies he is trying to create for this country. So, Ms. Watson, you can keep your race card quotes to yourself, because all it does is show us whom are not racist what a racist really is. That would be YOU!!

  • Dianna

She says President Obama looks just like her, so where does that leave his white mother and grandparents ? I’m white and I’m sick of the way that black people can call the race card, but if I say anything as a white person then I’m the racist.

  • Damaso

The stupidity and ignorance of this so called Congress Person. She is part of the Black Caucus that went to Cuba to lick Castro’s butt but neglected to speak or see one dissident, many of whom are Black Cubans
Watson, Martin Luther King would puke on you and your kind
    You make us sick.

    Good morning!

My name is Maggie and I have a bone to pick with Diane Watson. She states that racism is behind the push AGAINST a government take-over of our health care system.

This may be hard for some to hear…but I’m of the mind that racism is behind the push FOR for the government take-over of one sixth of the nation’s economy.

I have no health coverage, I don’t take food stamps and I am not on the public dole. If I looked like Watson, I would have been raised in an atmosphere that promotes the knowledge required to learn to make a living off of the government. I was never taught how to apply for foods stamps, nor was I raised to believe that it was a good thing. Therefore, my white upbringing totally disenfranchised me from the welfare system.

Even public housing, some of which is available for $17 a month, is geared toward those who know how to manipulate the system. There is no race-neutral system available to help those of us who were taught to pay our own way. Why should I suffer because of parents who didn’t show me how to apply for federal housing…and worse…brainwashed me to believe that it was a BAD thing? How do I overcome years spent with a father who inculcated pride into my very psyche?

Subsidies, entitlements and yes…even health care are difficult to attain for people who look like me because we were raised in families who believed that we had to be productive members of society. Our parents, in their ignorance, believed that America would always help those who helped themselves and they expected us to “pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and try again”….every single time we fell! How can people who look like me ever stand a chance in a system created specifically for people who were raised to support the candidates who look like them?

Of course, our parents never prepared us for the option that there would be two lines…the line of people who work and the line of people who stand in line for a living, picking up the money dropped off by those who work. Right now I should be standing in some hand out line with a Walkman, a cell phone and my laptop. Instead, I’m left to sell my belongings to pay my way to a family member who can help take care of me because, once again, I have no knowledge of the free stuff available to me. People who look like me were never members of a culture raised to know how to get free stuff. Nor do people who look like me know how to ask for welfare without feeling like a failure. This unfair disadvantage keeps many who look like me out of the county welfare offices and that’s just not right.

As long as I’m under the influence of a father who taught us that racist concept of personal responsibility, and as long as I’m going to remain in need of food, medical care, housing and a person to help me during the day…I will have to figure it out without the help of the people in the working line.

And who’s to blame for this travesty? All of those people who don’t look like me think that people who DO look like me should pay for thier health care, whether or not we have health care of our own. Oh, and don’t forget, our racist administration has such disdain for the Founding Fathers (who looked like me!) that they are taking the list of rules that was created by they who look like me, and trying to hopscotch around them to create rights that have never been given to the Federal Government.

Even worse, they want to take the enumerated rights away from people who look like me…not by imprisonment…YET!…but by publicly accusing dissidents of moral, ethical, social and even legal violations. I guess they figure, “Why imprison them when it’s cheaper to simply create social deviants out of them?!”

Those who look like me are threatened with name calling of the worst kind should we attempt to offer our own ideas. Those who look like me were raised to resist joining the welfare system and as a result, we find ourselves in a state of despair when we need help because of how we look and of our upbringing. The racist welfare system has yet to find a way to teach those who look like me how to navigate the bureaucracy of hand-out programs and they certainly haven’t taught us how to overcome our sense of pride so that we can do so.

It’s time for those who look like me to speak out against the racism that has kept us out of the welfare system for far too long. With the racist administration trying to socialize so many of the needs of Americans, those who look like me must demand that the system become much more race neutral. Only then will true equality exist for people who look like me.

Well, as you can see, racial arguments abound. Maggie certainly doesn’t speak for all of the people who look like her and Diane Watson doesn’t speak for all of those who look like HER. But, far too many people are trying to muddy the waters for those who seek truth, justice and the American way. (Sorry, but I couldn’t resist the Superman reference.)

I’m only 16 years old but I have noticed that there many people involved in politics who have a very immature way of arguing. People tend to attack each other and call them racist or stupid or something like that and expect it to suddenly make what they are saying right. This shouldn’t work, but in several cases it has which is very scary if you think about it. When Diane Watson was talking about Rush Limbough (I don’t know how to spell his name so I’m just guessing) saying he hopes President Obama fails, she made it a point that he said this about the first president who “looks like me”. This is implying that not just Rush Limbough, but everyone who does not want President Obama in office is racist against darker skinned people. Saying those against President Obama are racist is not attacking the issue at hand, it is attacking the person, or group of people, against which you are arguing and is called an ad hominem. In many cases, using an ad hominem could have the opposite effect. When Diane Watson implied that people against President Obama are racist, it leads me to believe that she is the racist one for making such accusations. Now I don’t know if that is what she meant it as, but that is certainly what it sounds like in my mind. However, Diane Watson is not the only one using an ad hominem here. Many people who have posted replies on this site have attacked Ms. Watson, and that can turn her into the “victim” and she can now use it to her advantage. It would be much more effective if people would argue in a less childish manner. Just think about this. Have you ever heard a defense lawyer tell the judge and the jury that the accusing person was stupid and therefore should not be believed? If so, has is worked?

I cannot understand how politicians can sit there and talk such rubbish. I am a racist of sorts but not to color. Racist yes to anyone, whatever their color, that even tries to hurt or step on any race. Act like people not crazy animals! Quit hurting and trying to take advantage of each other and what a wonderful world this would be if the “Politicians, CEO’s, etc” would stop trying to line their pockets with more and more money from the “taxpaying population” and trying to do things in such a way that it looks like it’s legal. All of you should go to jail for all the underhanded things that are going on in this country. Not paying your taxes, scheming to take more and more money from the hard working class. Now racist is this woman that speaks with a forked tongue! How dare she say things like she does of Fidel Castro. One of the worlds most disgustingly crooked and heinious men that ever lived. Look how he has his own people, flesh and blood, living in poverty and filth with buildings that are falling down around them. How nice it would be for Congressman Watson to go down there and live amongst the real people and not in a “Hotel” for the foreigners. She wouldn’t like it too damned much! She also has to reel in her tongue also on speaking of Obama. I think she needs medication to get her chemically balanced so that she can then speak with a clear and unmuddled mind. I give Kudo’s to Meg Kelso whe she said in another answer above mine that said and I quote “Even public housing, some of which is available for $17 a month, is geared toward those who know how to manipulate the system.” There are many, many people out there, whites, that have public housing or Plan 8 and can work and are not disabled. So, we better take care of our own that do pay taxes and work hard.

This woman does not understand what it means for America to succeed. America’s success is not defined by the degree to which an executive succeeds in implementing his plans; its success is defined by the degree to which her people are free and successful on their own without the aforementioned executive. It would be really nice to see a lib or two acknowledge this. I won’t be holding my breath.
