As I have maintained all along, Obamacare as it is now promoted will NEVER become engrained in American law.
Even if Speaker Pelosi can put together the number of votes this week to move the legislation forward and even if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid uses reconciliation to pass it in the Senate, the American people will rise up and force a revision before it takes full effect.
There will be tax increases and budget machinations in the future in order to make Obamacare work – or survive. These will NEVER pass the Congress.
Small health care reforms are achievable. A major health care overhaul with a greater governmental role has never been in the cards.
