fiorinaboxer CA Sen: Carly Fiorina Takes the Lead From Barbara Boxer in Latest Poll
Republican Nominee Carly Fiorina and Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer
Not much of a lead and it is within the margin of error but it demonstrates just how vulnerable Boxer is.

A poll taken Sunday, June 13th, showed Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and California Attorney General Jerry Brown in a statistical tie with their respective opponents, Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman. (Full results are here[pdf].)

The poll, conducted via telephone for Pajamas Media by CrossTarget, was of 600 likely California voters, and has a margin of error of 4%. The CrossTarget poll was an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) poll, using the same technology and methods as the polls CrossTarget conducted for PJM in the Massachusetts election in January, in which PJM/CrossTarget was one of the first to predict Scott Brown’s election.

In the senatorial race, Fiorina actually led Boxer by 0.5%, well within the margin of error but showing that Fiorina is a very serious challenger.

  • Boxer             46.5%
  • Fiorina           47.0%
  • Undecided    6.5%

This polling will not be serious until after Labor Day and the venerable California Field Poll goes into the field. But, Fiorina has come up REAL fast and is there any wonder why the President and his wife are coming to California to bolster fellow Democrat Boxer with campaign cash?

This race is becoming one that might likely change the balance of power in the U.S. Senate.

Speaking about Slow Joe Biden…..does anyone expect Joe to be on the ticket with President Obama in 2012?

If Obama is declining in popularity, do you think the Democrats will want to recycle Hillary Clinton?

Answer: Democrat leaders will want to resurrect Bill Clinton for Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia – along comes Hillary to the rescue.

  • John Edwards' mistress "has filed an amended lawsuit against Edwards' former aide," WTVD-TV reports.

Rielle Hunter's lawyer "says she wants all the money Andrew Young has made from his book about the Edwards' scandal called The Politician."

Young is also reportedly trying to sell the movie rights to his book.

Bet John Edwards wishes this woman would just go away now.

  • According to The Des Moines Register's latest Iowa Poll, 62 percent of Republicans who identified themselves as likely to vote in this week's primary election are very or mostly favorable toward Romney. Palin follows, with 58 percent very or mostly favorable about her, with Gingrich at 56 percent,

In contrast, 80 percent say they don't know enough about Daniels to have a favorable or unfavorable opinion, 71 percent say they're not sure how they feel toward Thune and 53 percent are unsure about Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty.

The poll measures favorability, not preference. Lots can and will happen before serious presidential caucus campaigns launch next year that will wilt favorability and pump new candidates onto the list.
    ++++++++
Depending upon Obama's strength, of course, will determine whether Sarah Palin will be a go in 2012

  • House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) expressed frustration Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” over partisan fighting as lawmakers try to lift the cap that limits how much oil cleanup BP is responsible for, calling it remnants of the Bush administration’s “psychology of neglect.”

But House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) jumped on Hoyer, telling him it is time for Democrats to stop blaming the Bush administration for the regulatory failings that may have contributed to the BP oil spill.

“How long are you going to blame the Bush administration. Come on,” Boehner said. “When is someone in Washington going to take responsibility for what they are in charge of?”

Recent polls show that the majority of Americans consider the government’s response to BP worse than the Bush administration’s heavily criticized response to Hurricane Katrina several years ago.

Passing the buck like all Politicos

The BP Gulf Oil Spill may turn out to be just like the Iranian Hostage Crisis was to Jimmy Carter. It will demonstrate to the American people that neither President is/was equipped to lead in time of crisis.

Rudy Giuliani must be licking his chops in anticipation of a run in 2012.

But, then again, so are the other Republicans who have some executive experience.

Yes, Chris, the RIGHT has some female pundits that are definitely worth a PASS and very easy on the eyes.

I am off soon to Santa Monica and the Los Angeles Running Club  to begin my training for the Disneyland Half Marathon in September. 12 miles today at an easy pace.
