The Limbaugh Rule to Supplant the Buckley Rule?
Graphic from Rush Limbaugh
I guess we will see with the coming general election in Delaware if the Rush Limbaugh Rule works.
And, the total votes for the control of the United States Senate.
There are caveats and frankly I don’t see how the Republican Party wins here – in any case.
I find Rush’s argument in favor of the Limbaugh Rule lacking on its own terms as well as in terms of the prudence one should ordinarily apply to matters of practical politics. Among other things, the Limbaugh Rule does not take account of the advantages of majority status in the Senate. Rush’s formulation of the Limbaugh Rule nevertheless clarifies the issues of judgment that have divided conservatives in Delaware and elsewhere this primary season.
But, in a couple of months the votes will be counted.

Limbugh is an idiot. I thought the Republican Party was a “Big Tent” party. Do you mean that moderates are not welcome even though they could win a general election?
Flap
Good question.
But, in the political climate of today it may not matter much. Whoever appears to be non-status quo may very well win – at least in this election cycle.
