Republican Delaware U.S. Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell on Bill Mahr’s Politically Incorrect in 1997

On the other hand, Al Franken (Democrat from Minnesota, Let-wing clown) is a United States Senator too.

There are other Senators to call but we need the above Senators to vote against this cynical ploy by Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of placing this bill as an amendment to a Defense Appropriation bill. Send a message – this Dream Act is a form of illegal alien amnesty and deserves an up or down vote on its own merits.

Melt the phones, patriots.

burnmollynorrisweb Molly Norris Draw Mohammed Cartoonist Goes Into Hiding

Muslims burn an effigy of cartoonist Molly Norris in Karachi, Pakistan, on May 26

A pretty sad commentary when someone wishes to support freedom of speech and expression.

A cartoonist for Seattle Weekly in Washington state is in hiding after she received death threats for mocking the Prophet Mohammed five months ago, the newspaper reported. The alternative weeklys editor in chief reported this week that artist Molly Norris is going ghost on the advice of FBI security specialists. She will be moving and changing her name, Mark Fefer wrote.

You may have noticed that Molly Norris comic is not in the paper this week. Thats because there is no more Molly, he said. She is, in effect, being put into a witness-protection program except, as she  notes, without the government picking up the tab.

Norris hasty exodus stems from an April controversy in which the creators of South Park saw their 201st episode censored over its inclusion of Mohammed as a character. Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker received death threats because their 200th episode featured the Muslim prophet in a bear suit.

Norris dedicated her cartoon that week to Stone and Parker and attacked bloggers at Revolution Muslim, who she said made threats against the South Park masterminds. Couching the cartoon as a First Amendment protest, she accused the Comedy Central network of cooperating with terrorists for pulling the original episode.

This is what started the flap, as you remember.

Draw Mohammed day Molly Norris Draw Mohammed Cartoonist Goes Into Hiding
As a snarky response to Muslim bloggers who warned Comedy Central about an episode of South Park showing the Prophet Mohammed wearing a bear suit, one Seattle cartoonist, who calls laughter her form of prayer, is asking artists all over the world to create depictions of Mohammed on May 20, then submit the images to a Facebook page she set up.

Let’s hope that this is a temporary situation and that the Islamic religious bigots see the error of their ways and desist. In the meantime, the FBI will protect her and the Mohammed Cartoons will continue to be published.

0920106517093 Day By Day September 20, 2010 The Point

Day By Day by Chris Muir

I’ll take the INDIVIDUAL over the collective tyranny of socialism/communism any day of the week – even Mondays.

Why would any American want to defer life decisions to some nameless/faceless bureaucrat in the federal or even state government? Does American rugged individualism really lend lend itself to being ordered about by a NANNY – like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi or the President?

The answer is NO.  Hell No!

  • President Obama’s political advisers, looking for ways to help Democrats and alter the course of the midterm elections in the final weeks, are considering a national advertising campaign that would cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists, people involved in the discussion said.
    That is among a range of options and plans under consideration at the White House for energizing dispirited Democratic voters over the coming six weeks, in hopes of limiting the party’s losses and keeping control of the House and Senate. Democratic strategists are seeing new openings to exploit after a string of Tea Party successes split Republicans and culminated last week with developments that scrambled Senate races in Delaware and Alaska.

    “We need to get out the message that it’s now really dangerous to re-empower the Republican Party because the people who have taken over the party are radical"…..
    ++++++
    Good Luck with that…..

  • Former president Bill Clinton, a champion of healthcare reform, admitted on Sunday that he made the wrong prediction about the popularity of President Obama’s healthcare bill.

    Initially, Clinton had predicted that the polls in favor of Democrats would be boosted as soon as the legislation was signed into law. Instead, Clinton said on NBC’s "Meet the Press," his prediction was wrong for two reasons.

    "First of all, the benefits of the bill are spread out of three or four years. It takes a long time to implement. And secondly, there has been an enormous and highly effective attack on it,” he said.

    Several leading Republicans have vowed to repeal the healthcare reform bill next year.
    ++++++++
    And, he is saying that Obama is getting his groove back but will be happy for him to stumble so that Hillary can run against him in 2012.

    On CBS' "Face the Nation," Clinton said Republicans deserve "their fair share of credit" for Obama's stumbles, including a sinking approval rating.

  • Colin Powell, once the nation's highest-ranking military officer and later a secretary of state, said Sunday he doesn't know whether the United States is winning in Afghanistan.

    Mr. Powell said that although generals in the Afghan campaign claim progress as they move into new territory, it's hard to tell if the Taliban really is being defeated or merely is moving from one place to another.

    Mr. Powell endorsed President Obama's strategy to triple the number of U.S. forces, but he called the government of Afghan President Hamid Karzai a weak base for the military campaign.

    Mr. Powell said that the generals are asking for more time but that it's not clear whether Mr. Obama will give it to them. Mr. Obama has said he will begin withdrawing U.S. forces next summer.
    +++++++
    Powell supported Obama so maybe he can offer some advice?

    Or, will Colin just throw the inexperienced Obama under the bus for Hillary or a Republican?

From NBC’s Meet the Press Today

If you listen to Colin Powell above and in other clips, he really has little understanding of domestic politics.

MTP >> go, you, of course, endorsed president obama in 2008. are you prepared to endorse him for re-election?

CP >> just as i did in 2008, when 2012 comes along, i will look at the needs of the country, the situation as i see it and i will evaluate both candidates and see which one i think is best able to lead the country. in 2008, in my judgment, it was mr. obama. we had a country that was in recession, heading into depression. we had banks failing. we had a stock market collapsing. we were in difficulty. and i thought that he was best able to deal with that, with the advisers he was surrounding himself with. and we have stabilized our economy. i think that worked out.

MTP >> you described him as a transformational figure. has he lived up to that or do you find yourself disappointed?

CP >> i think he is a transformational figure. some people don’t like what he has done in transformation. it has caused him some difficulty. the fact of the matter is that he did put health care reform– it’s not perfect and it will have to be fixed over time. people are not happy with the health care reform but he did it. millions of our fellow citizens have no insurance, especially children. i think he has done transformational work with respect to education and should get credit for that. but in other aspects, i think he has to focus on now governing. not worrying about the daily campaign problem or reacting to everything that comes across the cable news channel. he needs to sort of get above all that. mr. president, they will kick you like a dog, treat you like a dog but that’s the nature of our system. america is a great country and this is the way we do our politics.

Powell might be a great military general and a diplomat but when he says that President Obama has been a transformational figure while he rammed ObamaCare through the Congress and whose economic policies have led to high unemployment. Well, I think you understand why Powell cannot be taken seriously.

And, with the President’s poll numbers in the basement, Powell wants to hedge his bets to continue the invites to the “A” Washington cocktail parties when the GOP ascends to power in November.

Day By Day by Chris Muir

President Obama and the LEFT have been good at casting blame for their less than stellar record in governing the United States.

First, it was President George W. Bush and now, it is GOP House Minority Leader John Boehner.

Obama is not fooling anyone and American patience with him has waned as has his approval in the polls.

It has come down to not when the GOP and Tea Party patriots will reverse his policies, it is how quickly. My bet is that the Democratic Party will start to desert him en masse as soon as the November bloodbath is over.

Hello Hillary in 2012.
