Reuters: Iran ready to remove UN seals at nuclear sites
Iran confirmed it will resume research on nuclear fuel on Monday, a move that could amplify calls for the Islamic Republic to be sent to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions.
“Iran will today resume nuclear fuel research as scheduled,” government spokesman Gholamhossein Elham told a news conference on Monday morning.
European Union and U.S. officials say that, if Iran goes ahead with the move, diplomatic efforts to settle the issue would be endangered and that could lead to Tehran being referred to the Security Council for possible sanctions.
John Bolton should immediately call a session of the United Nations Security Council for the imposition of sanctions against Iran.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Mohamed ElBaradei told Sky Television in an interview to be broadcast on Monday the world was “running out of patience with Iran.”
Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, whose country holds the EU presidency, said Iran’s decision was “the wrong step in the wrong direction and is a cause of very serious concern.”
Time has run for concern.
Action is imminent.

If anyone has any doubt about the kind of nuclear work Iran has been doing for the past 18 years, it must be a case of naivete compounded by gullibility.
Nor should there be any uncertainty about what Iran’s mullahocracy would do with a nuclear weapon. All of Iran’s leaders since the Ayatollah Rohollah Khomeini replaced the shah in February 1979 have made it clear the objective is Israel’s destruction.
