Representative Cynthia McKinney Watch: News Conference Today – “NOTHING New!”

WXIA-TV ATLANTA: McKinney Talks, Not About Charges

U.S. Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-4th Ga.) used her recent media attention to tell assembled news cameras what she has done for them at a Monday speech.

She did not address a possible criminal charge stemming from an altercation last week with a Capitol police officer.

The speech, before a meeting of the Concerned Black Clergy, was preceded by a number of local Atlanta area politicians and religious leaders who bolstered McKinneyâ€™s racially-tinged statements from last Friday.

Reporters were not allowed to ask questions at the end of the remarks.

And does Representative McKinney think she can get away with assaulting this Capitol police officer by playing the “black race card?”

Apparently so…….

Supporters who spoke included Democratic state legislators Representative “Able” Mable Thomas and Senator Vincent Fort. Her supporters pledged to stand by McKinney, and took the opportunity to attack security procedures at the U.S. Capitol and to claim that problems there were the result of racism.

McKinney will NOT be arrested today but Flap handicaps an arrest warrant is imminent.
