The only Repblublican I would ever think of voting for for President would be Congressman Ron Paul. Why has he been excluded?

  • Mike

I definitely agree guys. It’s starting to get a bit ridiculous that our fellow Republicans having been having a total blackout regarding Rep. Ron Paul. This is the party of Goldwater and Reagan, right?

  • Joe

Not a Credible Candidate?! Name ONE congressman with a more consistent voting record. Name just ONE other person in congress whose vote is based on whether or not the Constitution permits the legislation.

Ron Paul is America’s ONLY hope to restore liberty to the people.

Ron Paul is not a credible candidate?!! He is the ONLY candidate I would not be ashamed to contribute to or vote for. As to poor polling numbers; so all the candidates who are listed have respectable polling numbers?

It appears the liberal big government types have taken over the Republican party. Is that why only liberal Republican are listed? Ron Paul, a true conservative, should be included and give your voters a real choice. I’d as soon vote for a Democrate as the Republicans listed. They are all Democrats in Republican clothing and none support the Constitution of the United States of America.

Please tell me why Ron Paul isn’t a credible candidate? Ron Paul stands for freedom, and his oath to protect the constitution. I know that doesn’t seem like a big deal these days, but this country was founded on the constitution, and that’s what seperates us from every country in the world. People from all over the world marvel at our constitution, but most Americans only care about material things, or how to get rich while sitting on their ass. My grandfathers both fought in WWII, my uncle in Vietnam, and myself in the Army. We didn’t serve to see our constitution thrown in the trash because the American people are scared and want protection at our constitutions expense.I don’t need the governments protection, that’s what the 2nd amendment is for. If terrorism scares you so much, go move to a secluded island out in the pacific somewhere. Stop being a coward, and start standing for freedom!!!!!! Ron Paul would do a great service for us and your childrens future. If the corporate media is pumping up a certain canidate, those canidates aren’t for you.

May I suggest you add Congressman Ron Paul to your poll? He is my first choice for next US President.

  • J. Bailey

    Flaps,

Another vote to add Ron Paul. He is credible and will be viable in time. McCain, Giuliani, and Romney are not credible. Others on your list aren’t even running, are they? Pataki? Thompson?

    Thanks,

    JB

I also want to see Ron Paul on the straw poll. He has a large following! He deserves to be on the poll so we can vote for him. Dr. Ron is a true American patriot and hero.

Ron Paul is qualified, having been a nine-term Congressman, but more importantly he is NOT a career politician, he is a medical doctor. He has shown that he does not care about political correctness, and cannot be bought by special interests. He has demonstrated that he is a man of integrity. He grew up on a dairy farm and knows what hard work is.

Dr. Paul supported responding against the Taliban and Al Quaeda in Afganistan, but vehamently opposed the Iraq war from day one. He was one of just six Republicans to vote in 2002 against giving President Bush the authority to use military force in Iraq, contending that only Congress had the power to declare war. He foresaw the problems it would lead to and was not afraid to say so, even though it was unpopular at the time.

Ron Paul also voted against the Patriot Act in 2001 and again in 2005, and strongly endorses American withdrawal from the United Nations.

Paul bills himself as “The Taxpayers’ Best Friend” and is routinely ranked either first or second in the House by the National Taxpayers Union, a national group advocating low taxes and limited government. He is one of the only Republicans that has been highly critical of excessive spending. Paul promotes a limited government. His regular votes against almost all proposals for government spending, initiatives, or taxes, and his frequent dissents in otherwise unanimous votes have irritated some of his Republican colleagues and have earned him the nickname “Dr. No”. To be frank, both Democrats and Republicans are moving more and more in the direction of socialism, this is NOT the direction that our country needs to move toward, and Dr. Paul is the only candidate I see that will fight this trend!

His positions, votes and statements are all well documented:

Here’s a nice personal letter from his grandson: “My Grandfather, The Patriot”
