Elliot Spitzer’s Kristen – The Whore Who Took the Governor Down

Matt Drudge had the photo links to The Smoking Gun and now the New York Times has the story about Ashley Alexandra Dupre.

Kristen, prostitute described in a federal affidavit as having had a rendezvous with Mr. Spitzer on Feb. 13 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, has spent the last few days in her ninth-floor apartment in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. On Monday, she made a brief appearance in federal court, where a lawyer was appointed to represent her. She is expected to be a witness in the case against four people charged with operating a prostitution ring called the Emperor’s Club V.I.P.

In a series of telephone interviews on Tuesday night, she said she had slept very little over the past week, with all the stress of the case.

“I just don’t want to be thought of as a monster,” the woman said as she told the tiniest tidbits of her story.

Born Ashley Youmans but now known as Ashley Alexandra Dupré, she spoke softly and with good humor as she added with significant understatement: “This has been a very difficult time. It is complicated.”

Ashley or Kristen now complains that she may not be able to pay her rent as a court appointed attorney is ordered by the judge to represent her in the legal proceedings against Spitzer and the Emperor’s Club V.I.P.

Flap’s bet is that someone in the publishing and media world will advance her some money for her story providing she is not convicted of a crime and the court bars or forfeits any profit.

    Quite a few MAJOR differences between Spitzer and Vitter.

    Remember Vitter’s tryst was before he was elected to the US Senate (no illegal acts while in office) and did not money launder or violate the Mann Act like Spitzer.

    Spitzer likely will be sentenced to a term in federal prison.

    But, never fear Blah, I am sure Vitter will have his evaluation by the Louisiana voters when he comes up for re-election – if he chooses to run again.
