Barack Obama Watch: New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson to Endorse

Barack Obama for president, calling him a ‘once-in-a- lifetime leader’ who can unite the nation and restore America’s international leadership. Richardson, who dropped out of the Democratic race in January, is to appear with Obama on Friday March 21, 2008 at a campaign event in Portland, Ore.
Interesting timing in this endorsement – being that Richardson NOW endorses Obama after primaries where Richardson ACTUALLY might have made a difference (such as California, New Mexico and Texas), where there are large Hispanic populations).
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the nation’s only Hispanic governor, is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for president, calling him a “once-in-a-lifetime leader” who can unite the nation and restore America’s international leadership.
The governor’s endorsement comes as Obama leads among delegates selected at primaries and caucuses but with national public opinion polling showing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton pulling ahead of him amid controversy over statements by his former pastor.
Richardson has been relentlessly wooed by Obama and Clinton for his endorsement. As a Democratic superdelegate, the governor plays a part in the tight race for nominating votes and could bring other superdelegates to Obama’s side. He also has been mentioned as a potential running mate for either candidate.
Flap knows that Richardson CAN count delegates and is playing one Clinton against the other Obama. Hillary has done well with Latino populations without Richardson’s endorsement so Hillary does not need him. And Bill sees her campaigning in Indiana with Senator Evan Bayh, who would probably be the Middle America ticket balancing Vice President Hillary needs.
So, why not endorse an “apparent” winner?

Now, will other Clinton Administration appointees realize that Hillary CANNOT win? And, like rats leave a sinking ship?

Perhaps, Richardson has endorsed Obama to impact the upcoming contests in favor of Hillary. This would further polarize any whites that were on the fence about Obama vs. Hillary.
Now it comes across as Black+Brown against Whitey!!! Whites can’t have that! Richardson is counting on whites’ racism so that they can rapidly flee from speculating on Obama and vote for Hillary.
Let’s just take a look at white flight from diverse neighborhoods and where we now have places such as Irvine. It’s underhanded, but well done!!!

What a slap in the face to Americans to come out backing Obama. After Obama giving a long explanation of race issues and why blacks feel the way they do, the next night speaks of his grandmothers slander against black people “typical” of whites when this is something we ourselves have fought against in the Spanish community. To be accepted as individuals and equals and not as a group is correct. Blaming all whites is just wrong. I just never expected this of Richardson, especially after this last week of events.
I would never vote for Obama and if he backed him thinking he’d be the VP he’s very niave.
Unless all americans are allowed to vote there will be no clear winner.
If Obama does win against Hillary I do hope an alternate choice comes forward that I can believe in.

Bill Clinton probably strung Richardson along as long as possible with a ‘possible’ VP slot. I reckon Richardson couldn’t wait any longer, and probably realized he’d been played, so he got back by supporting Obama. It’s a good theory, anyway…

Obama’s efforts to connect to the Republican Party, specifically Bush, and Dick Chaney, of the Halliburton Company, dates back to the Presidents Grandfather, Prescott Bush, and indeed Chaney was once an executive officer of Halliburton.
The American military pounds Iraq with Artillary, bombs, and the like, destroying large sections of cities, and infra-structures, then Halliburton comes in to rebuild. Halliburton and Halliburton associated companies have raked in ten’s of billions.
Obama is just like the BIG HALIBURTAN. Haliburton has contracted to build detention centers in the U.S. similiar to the one in Quantanammo Bay, Cuba. Halliburton does nothing to earn the Two Dollars for each meal an American Serviceman in Iraq eats.

Halliburton was scheduled to take control of the Dubai Ports in The United Arab Emiirate. The deal was canceled when Bush was unable to affect the transfer of the American Ports.
Now we see what some might suspect as similiar financial escapading from the Democrats.

Involved along with Antoin “Tony†Rezco, long time friend and neighbor of Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, and former cop Daniel T. Frawley, is Aiham Alsammarae. Alsammarae was accused of financial corruption by Iraqi authorities and jailed in Iraq last year before escaping and returning here.
