Lott jumped ship just in time to be able to pad his pockets before the rule about not being able to lobby for two years came into effect. I don’t know enough about him to brand him an elitist, but I can say for sure he’s a ‘Washington insider’, and they’re the ones who are costing the GOP a lot. I reckon it’s time for some fresh blood, and put to pasture people like Lott and Ted Stevens.

Agreed, it is time for a new generation of GOP leadership. Unfortunately, it will take a while and we will lose more seats in the meantime.
