Day By Day by Chris Muir
The MSM media bowing down to “The One” is becoming a sickening display as the syncophants rush to bolster their Nielsen ratings.
What ever happened to the “Fourth Estate?”
In an egregious display of one sidedness, ABC has even refused to sell ads critical of Obama healthcare reform policies during their broadcast from inside the White House. Plus, they are not allowing a GOP response.
America media is resembling the state controlled media in Iran more every day.
When will the American press revert to its independent and often cynical role of analyzing government policies? Or, will they continue to cover such events as Obama killing a fly?

Day By Day by Chris Muir
President Obama is going to need all of the help the Spinmeisters in his Administration and ABC News can provide to sell his flawed and terribly expensive health care reform plan – Obamacare.
The health care lobby is out to scuttle the plan and there are already enough conservative Democratic Senate votes to support a filibuster. Convincing the American public to change their health insurance plans paid for by their employer to ONLY provide “free” care for a few more needy folks is gong to be a very tough sell.
It will take more than an ABC News production from a White House “room.”

Guess Katie Couric better hope she can see Sarah Palin from her mansion soon, right?
NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was the #1 evening newscast again last week with a more than 800,000 viewer lead over #2 World News with Charles Gibson. And with an average of 5.18M Total Viewers, the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric had its lowest viewership yet. In fact, it’s the lowest viewership since at least the 1991/92 season, as far back as Nielsen records track.
- Total Viewers: NBC: 7,960,000 / ABC: 7,150,000 / CBS: 5,180,000
- 25-54 demo: NBC: 2,380,000 / ABC: 2,030,000 / CBS: 1,590,000
NBC Nightly News featured exclusive interviews of President Barack Obama last week: Inside the Obama White House.
Look for ABC and CBS to scramble for some Obama time.
And, Katie – stay classy, “Dont Be a Hater”, OK?

This is hilarious.
Of course, Jay Carney is leaving for a government job.
Jay Carney is leaving Time magazine after 20 years to be President-elect Biden’s communications director in the White House, astonished magazine and gleeful transition sources said.
Carney’s title will be assistant to the vice president and director of communications. TIME.com’s “The Page” first reported his new job.
Carney, the magazine’s Washington bureau chief, is one of Washington’s best-known talking heads, with regular appearances on ABC’s “This Week,” “The McLaughlin Group” and MSNBC’s “Hardball.”
Time Magazine is failing just like the rest of the MSM and Carney can read a spreadsheet.
So, when you get your GUY elected – jump at the chance, RIGHT?

Today’s Gallup poll:
And, no surprise here – Conservatives prefer Sarah Palin:
Looks like Rudy and Newt can make other plans for 2012. With Hillary’s move to State looks lie Rudy Giuliani’s options are wide open in New York anyway.

Courage Campaign’s television ad: “Home Invasion”: Vote NO on Prop 8
In a disgusting display of intolerance the supporters of California Gay Marriage unleash an attack ad aimed at the LDS (Mormon) Church.
In what one Catholic bishop called “a blatant display of religious bigotry and intolerance,†a commercial advocating a “no†vote on Proposition 8 depicts Mormon missionaries invading the homes of a lesbian couple.
The California ballot’s Proposition 8 would restore the legal definition of marriage to being between one man and one woman. Earlier this year, the California Supreme Court imposed same-sex marriage on the state.
In the 60 second commercial, produced by the Courage Campaign Issues Committee, two missionaries knock on a door and say they are from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They tell the lesbian couple “we are here to take away your rights.â€
They enter the house, take away the women’s rings, and ransack their home looking for their marriage license. Finding it, they tear it up.
At the close of the commercial, the missionaries walk away, saying “that was too easy, yeah, what should we ban next?â€
“The message behind the commercial is the Mormon Church is literally invading the houses of Californians through their TV sets, spreading lies and taking peoples’ lives away from them,†Rick Jacobs of the anti-Prop. 8 Courage Campaign told CBS Channel 2 KUTV. “The church has been hiding behind its secrecy.â€
Jacobs said the commercial will air today in various parts of California on MSNBC and CNN.
Watch this ad embedded above. It is WAY over the top in targeting one single religion.
Bigotted, you betcha.
The Church of Latter Day Saints responds:
“The Church has joined a broad-based coalition in defense of traditional marriage. While we feel this is important to all of society, we have always emphasized that respect be given to those who feel differently on this issue. It is unfortunate that some who oppose this proposition have not given the Church this same courtesy.â€
The California Catholic Conference condemns:
The California Catholic Conference on Monday condemned the ad as “bigoted and intolerant.â€
Most Rev. Stephen Blaire, Bishop of Stockton and President of the California Catholic Conference, commented in a press release, calling the ad “a blatant display of religious bigotry and intolerance†and expressing dismay any public media outlet would air it.
“The YES on 8 campaign is not about discrimination and intolerance; it is about restoring the traditional definition of marriage for the good of society and children,” said Bishop Blaire. “All individuals and groups, whether religious or not, have both a right and a responsibility to participate in a civil debate about this important issue. From the beginning of this campaign the Catholic Conference has stressed the importance of mutual respect and denounces this type of religious bigotry.”
Face it folks.
After today’s Proposition 8 election, which will be close, the winning side will have to try to reconcile the societal angst of the losers. The election is about winning hearts and minds not a single electoral event.
Certainly, this bigottted attempt to seek revenge against one religious group (and a group Flap adds has been persecuted in the United States since the 1800′s) will do NOTHING for any type of reconciliation or understanding.
The No on 8 Committee should immediately condemn this independent expenditure ad and ask the Courage Campaign to pull it off California airwaves.

Day By Day by Chris Muir
Charlie Gibson with ABC News attempted to TRAP Sarah Palin on a number of leading and hypothetical questions but was unsuccessful.
What will the LEFT do?
They will call upon their LEFT-WING and former Democrat Party operatives to write extensive Op-Ed pieces re-interpreting and re-inventing Palin’s words while expressing outrage of her candidacy.
Nobody except the media elites will care and Obama will continue to sink in the polls.
++++++++++
