The ASSociated Press has Cruise buys Katie sonogram machine
Tom Cruise has made an unusual purchase for his fiancee Katie Holmes – one that will let them see the development of their baby.
“I bought a sonogram machine,” Cruise says on ABC’s Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005, to air Nov. 29 (10 p.m. EST). Excerpts of the interview are published in the latest issue of People magazine, on newsstands Friday.
The 43-year-old actor said the couple will do their own sonograms, which show fetus development with ultrasound waves. Cruise said he will donate the machine to a hospital after the baby is born. Sonogram machines range in cost from $25,000 to $200,000.
But, will Katie be QUIET?

The Irish Examiner has Schwarzenegger signs for big money sequels.
Hollywood action man Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to juggle his role as California Governor with a return to the big screen – he has reportedly agreed to star in two big money sequels.
The actor-turned-politician has agreed to reteam with Oscar-winning director James Cameron in a fourth Terminator installment in addition to a sequel to True Lies, according to website Moviehole.net.
Eliza Dushku, who is excited about reprising her role as Schwarzenegger’s daughter in True Lies 2, says: “We all caught up. Me, Jamie Lee, Arnold, and Jim, to talk about True Lies 2, about a month ago in California. We’re doing it. Definitely doing it. I’m revved.”
We can only hope.
Flap supports the Governor but has been a film fan of his for many many years.
And John Rosengrant, who is a special effects expert at Stan Winston Studios, confirms work on Terminator 4 is at a very early stage: “It’s too early to figure out what a new Terminator would look like, or anything like that.
“You see the script and what spark comes from that, (talk) with the director and see what the vision is. It does no good to dream it up unless you write a treatment and try to get out there and sell it yourself.”
After all, someone has to pay for those special election television ads. The unions have spent over $100 million.

Blythe Danner: “”I know Bruce (Paltrow) would want me to pay tribute to New Orleans, his favorite city, and all the Gulf Coast and our kids in Iraq. Let’s get the heck out of there. Thank you all.” — Emmy winner Blythe Danner of “Huff.”
Gwyneth Palthrow: “…I feel like we’re really in trouble. I just had a baby and thought, ‘I don’t want to live there.’(in the United States). “Bush’s anti-environment, pro-war policies are a dis. . . .”.

The California Special Election this November better be worth it.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has turned down the opportunity to co-produce and star in the remake of the 1973 Michael Crichton sci-fi thriller, Westworld.
The remake of sci-fi thriller “Westworld” is going ahead without the Governator. Arnold Schwarzenegger was to have co-produced and appeared in the movie, but those plans were put aside after his 2003 election.
The trade paper Daily Variety reported Friday that a director has been chosen for the remake: Tarsem Singh, who directed the 2000 thriller “The Cell” starring Jennifer Lopez.
Schwarzenegger, who starred in the “Terminator” and “Conan” movies, has not held any discussions about involvement with the film, his representative said Friday.
“It’s not even on the governor’s radar right now,” spokeswoman Sheryl Main said. “He’s concentrating on the special election that’s coming up in November. That is not even a blip on the screen.”
There’s no word on when “Westworld” might start production or be released.
The original “Westworld,” released in 1973, starred Yul Brynner as “Robot Gunslinger,” who stalks a pair of vacationers at a futuristic amusement park. The cult classic was written and directed by the novelist Michael Crichton.
Flap is positive that the California Nurses Association and California Teachers Association would love the Governor to retire from politics.
Flap loves the Governator’s movies ……so it is a tough choice.
But, somebody has to reform California and the Terminator is the MAN.
The original movie, starring Yul Brenner and Dick Benjamin can be purchased here.
Will Bruce Willis star?
