Shocker: North Korea Uses “NUCLEAR BLACKMAIL” – Will Use Nuclear Weapons in Merciless Offensive

    North-Korea-Nuke-threat

Not such a shock is it?

North Korea today said it would use nuclear weapons in a “merciless offensive” if provoked — its latest bellicose rhetoric apparently aimed at deterring any international punishment for its recent atomic test blast.

The tensions emanating from Pyongyang are beginning to hit nascent business ties with the South: a Seoul-based fur manufacturer became the first South Korean company to announce Monday it was pulling out of an industrial complex in the North’s border town of Kaesong.

The complex, which opened in 2004, is a key symbol of rapprochement between the two Koreas but the goodwill is evaporating quickly in the wake of North Korea’s nuclear test on May 25 and subsequent missile tests.

Pyongyang raised tensions a notch by reviving its rhetoric in a commentary in the state-run Minju Joson newspaper today.

“Our nuclear deterrent will be a strong defensive means…as well as a merciless offensive means to deal a just retaliatory strike to those who touch the country’s dignity and sovereignty even a bit,” said the commentary, carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

It appeared to be the first time that North Korea referred to its nuclear arsenal as “offensive” in nature. Pyongyang has long claimed that its nuclear weapons program is a deterrent and only for self-defense against what it calls US attempts to invade it.

The tough talk came as South Korea and the US lead an effort at the UN Security Council to have the North punished for its nuclear test with tough sanctions.

The Obama Administration has botched the North Korean situation while they fire off a nuclear test and various missiles, including an ICBM tht could potentially hit the United States.

American “weakness” in foreign policy breeds aggression by foreign nations that have evil intent.

President Bush at least had North Korea stymied and negotiating while dismantliung programs.

Under Obama, North Korea has stepped up its missile program and re-initiated manufacture of nuclear weapons.

The Obama foreign policy has been a collosal failure. And, what are they talking about now?

Sending New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson to North Korea to negotiate. WOW! Kim Jong-Il must be quaking in his boots.

Get ready for another test of a Taepadong-2, ICBM missile at any time.

Shocker: Barack Obama Tied to Bill Richardson’s “Pay To Play” Sugar Daddy

    Obama Richardson and Hillary

Barack Obama, Bill Richardson and Hillary Clinton

What a shock! President-Elect Barack Obama’s campaign and the Democrat Party have accepted massive political contributions from a New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson “Pay to Play” Sugar Daddy.

President-elect Barack Obama took big money from a man at the center of a federal probe that has forced one of Obama’s top Cabinet picks to withdraw.

Financial records show the Obama campaign got more than $30,000 from California financier David Rubin, the target of an investigation into donations and possible “pay-to-play” deals involving New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Obama’s pick for commerce secretary.

Richardson removed himself from consideration for the post Sunday, saying the ongoing grand jury investigation threatened to hold up his confirmation. Richardson and Rubin have both denied any wrongdoing in the matter, which involved contributions and state business in 2003 and 2004.

Now, Flap REALLY looks forward to the confirmation hearings of Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State and the financial scrutiny of Bill and his foreign interests.

Day By Day by Chris Muir

As Barack Obama spiritual advisor Jeremiah Wright said, “The chickens are coming home to roost.”

First, it was Hot Rod Blagojevich and his corrupt appointment of Roland Burris to Obama’s U.S. Senate seat along with the interference by Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry  Reid and Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

Second, the NEPOTISM of a possible Caroline Kennedy appointment to Hillary Clinton’s U.S. Senate Seat.

Third, the apparent win of Al Franken, who is an incompetent a pol as Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And, now, there is the withdrawal of New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson from his Obama appointment to become Secretary of Commerce because of corruption charges.

But, what do you expect from a MSM who did not properly VETT the Democrat Party or Obama during the last election cycle.

Chickens coming home to roost, indeed.

Bill Richardson’s Frequent Flyer Campaign Debt

    Bill Clinton and Bill Richardson

Bill Richardson and former President Bill Clinton watching the 2008 Super Bowl

Commerce Secretary designee and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson has some campaign debt problems just like Hillary Clinton.

Bill Richardson would do a lot of global jet-setting as commerce secretary, but he’s still on the hook for more than $150,000 in domestic airfare footed by influential home state allies.

During his failed bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, Richardson, the governor of New Mexico, crisscrossed the country partly on corporate jets controlled by influential New Mexicans with deep pockets — including one just elected to Congress.

The airfare debt creates uncomfortable optics for Richardson, since his ties to some of his aero-benefactors have been controversial. But Richardson also is statutorily obligated to repay them for the trips, lest they be considered illegal, over-the-limit corporate contributions.

And, now Bubba is constrained in his ability to help out and hit up all of those oil-rich Middle Eastern types as per his agreement with Obama.

Guess Mark Penn will have to cancel his new vacation house. As for Richardson, Bill and Hillary would not be too helpful anyway.

Richardson will be on his own.

    Good luck with that.

Hillary Clinton Watch: I Never Said It

    hillaryI-neversaidit

Hillary Clinton today denied that she told Governor Bill Richardson, D-N.M., that her Democratic nomination rival, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., “cannot win” a general election against presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Why, of course, she will deny it after the Drudge headline from yesterday and the story is out.

    Hillary-Obama-cannot-win

And, she is right that her candidacy matches up better than Obama.

In the meantime, the GOP is licking its chops to run against Barack Obama.

Bill Clinton Blows Up at a California SuperDelegate Over Bill Richardson’s Endorsement of Obama

    Bill Clinton and Bill Richardson

Bill Richardson and former President Bill Clinton watching the 2008 Super Bowl in happier times

Former President Bill Clinton obviously knows how to play HARDBALL. But………

The Bill Clinton who met privately with California’s superdelegates at last weekend’s state convention was a far cry from the congenial former president who afterward publicly urged fellow Democrats to “chill out” over the race between his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Barack Obama.

In fact, before his speech Clinton had one of his famous meltdowns Sunday, blasting away at former presidential contender Bill Richardson for having endorsed Obama, the media and the entire nomination process.

“It was one of the worst political meetings I have ever attended,” one superdelegate said.

According to those at the meeting, Clinton – who flew in from Chicago with bags under his eyes – was classic old Bill at first, charming and making small talk with the 15 or so delegates who gathered in a room behind the convention stage.

But as the group moved together for the perfunctory photo, Rachel Binah, a former Richardson delegate who now supports Hillary Clinton, told Bill how “sorry” she was to have heard former Clinton campaign manager James Carville call Richardson a “Judas” for backing Obama.

It was as if someone pulled the pin from a grenade.

“Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that,” a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

Bill Clinton was PISSED at New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson for having endorsed Obama as he earlier had dispatched James Carville to HATCHET Richardson in the press – comparing him to Judas.

Team Obama and Team McCain are having the last laugh……..

Barack Obama Watch: New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson to Endorse

Democratic presidential hopeful, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, right, speaks during the Brown & Black Forum as fellow hopeful, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., looks on, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in Des Moines, Iowa. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the nation’s only Hispanic governor, is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for president, calling him a ‘once-in-a- lifetime leader’ who can unite the nation and restore America’s international leadership. Richardson, who dropped out of the Democratic race in January, is to appear with Obama on Friday March 21, 2008 at a campaign event in Portland, Ore.

Interesting timing in this endorsement – being that Richardson NOW endorses Obama after primaries where Richardson ACTUALLY might have made a difference (such as California, New Mexico and Texas), where there are large Hispanic populations).

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the nation’s only Hispanic governor, is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for president, calling him a “once-in-a-lifetime leader” who can unite the nation and restore America’s international leadership.

The governor’s endorsement comes as Obama leads among delegates selected at primaries and caucuses but with national public opinion polling showing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton pulling ahead of him amid controversy over statements by his former pastor.

Richardson has been relentlessly wooed by Obama and Clinton for his endorsement. As a Democratic superdelegate, the governor plays a part in the tight race for nominating votes and could bring other superdelegates to Obama’s side. He also has been mentioned as a potential running mate for either candidate.

Flap knows that Richardson CAN count delegates and is playing one Clinton against the other Obama. Hillary has done well with Latino populations without Richardson’s endorsement so Hillary does not need him. And Bill sees her campaigning in Indiana with Senator Evan Bayh, who would probably be the Middle America ticket balancing Vice President Hillary needs.

So, why not endorse an “apparent” winner?

But, Flap does not think Bubba will be watching the Super Bowl with Richardson again anytime soon:

Bill Richardson and former President Bill Clinton watching the 2008 Super Bowl

Now, will other Clinton Administration appointees realize that Hillary CANNOT win? And, like rats leave a sinking ship?

    Probably

Will Hillary continue to fight the inevitable?

In the meantime, John McCain continues his surge in national Presidential tracking polls.
