Michelle Obama: Don’t Vote For McCain Because Palin Is Cute

michelleobama9182008

Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic Presidential candidate, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., right, listens to Mary Henley during a forum in Richmond, Va., Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008

In a thinly disguised SEXIST attack on Sarah Palin, Michelle Obama asked voters today to make their choice on the issues, not because, “I like that guy” or, “she’s cute.”

Might she be talking about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin?

“I’m talking about me,” she said with a smile.

Barack Obama’s wife, however, is not on the ticket in the presidential election. Palin is.

Her remarks came at a women’s round-table on the economy as Democrats work to neutralize the appeal that Palin has brought to John McCain’s ticket for some female voters. They are doing so gingerly, so as to not appear sexist or invite another lipstick-on-a-pig tempest.

Michelle Obama told the audience her husband is only candidate focused on equal pay, health care, affordable college, teacher recruitment and other issues of concern to women. She said that’s what the election should be about.

“People shouldn’t make a decision this time based on, ‘I like that guy’ or ’she’s cute,’” she said.

The line won a big round of applause. Before it subsided, she interjected: “And I’m talking about me.”

So, now Team Obama has unleased the wife of “The One” to attack Sarah Palin. First, it was “Lipstick on a Pig” and now “She’s Cute.”

Anyone see a pattern? Remember Sarah Palin’s primary qualification is “She hasn’t had an abortion?” Allah’s (Via MM) keeping track of the Obamas’ smears on Palin.

Flap guesses Hillary wouldn’t do their dirty work so they went to someone who would regurgitate verbatim their bile.

Now, will there be any feminist outrage?

Doubtful……

Update:

More Clinton Cabal fun

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an appearance at a New York rally next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.

Several American Jewish groups plan a major rally outside the United Nations on Sept. 22 to protest against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Organizers said Tuesday that both Clinton, who nearly won the Democratic nomination for president, and Palin, Republican candidate John McCain’s running mate, are expected to attend.

That would have set up a closely scrutinized and potentially explosive pairing in the midst of a presidential campaign, one in which the New York senator is campaigning for Democratic nominee Barack Obama while Palin actively courts disappointed Clinton supporters.

A prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee has defected and will endorse John McCain for President today.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.

The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.

Forester was a major donor for Clinton earning her the title as a Hillraiser for helping to raise at least $100,000 for the New York Democratic senator’s failed presidential bid.

The Clinton Cabal at work.

Watch for Hillary supporters to roll out slowly over the next month undercutting Obama with women voters.

GET US-ELECTIONS-DEBATE-DEMOCRATS

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama at last year’s Democrat Presidential debate in South Carolina

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin thinks Barack Obama now regrets not selecting Hillary Clinton as his Vice Presidential running mate.

“I think he’s regretting not picking her now, I do. What, what determination, and grit, and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way — she handled those well,” the Alaska governor told Charles Gibson in her third and final exclusive interview with ABC News.

You think?

Obama had an opportunity to get the Clinton’s on board for this campaign by asking Hillary to join the ticket and to ACTUALLY pay off her personal campaign debts by having his donors give large.

Obama did neither and is sinking like a rock in the polls with white women voters.

sarahpalin-and-sexism

Womencount.org

The reports have been that Barack Obama wanted to enlist Hillary Clinton to combat the Sarah Palin “bounce” in the polls. But, this has been unrealized.

Former Clinton adviser Howard Wolfson is dismissing any notion the Obama campaign would dispatch Clinton to take on Palin, as much as he thinks some people would revel in seeing the two strong women butt heads.

“Don’t hold your breath,” he wrote in his New Republic blog. “Clinton-Palin might drive ratings and sell magazines, but it wouldn’t be good for the Democratic Party, or the cause of women’s rights. Some might enjoy the spectacle, but don’t expect Hillary Clinton to play along.”

Now, Hillary backers are speaking out for Alaska Governor and GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

The leaders of a women’s political organization that launched earlier this year to support Hillary Clinton are speaking out against what they say are examples of media sexism toward Sarah Palin and urging members to tell the press corps “to back off.”

WomenCount, a group co-founded by top Hillary fundraiser Susie Tompkins Buell, posted a lengthy item on their blog decrying questions over whether Palin can, as a mother of five, juggle her family responsibilities and still be vice president.

“The very notion that Sarah Palin should not have accepted this nomination because she is a mother with demanding challenges underscores just how far we have to go,” wrote Rosemary Camposano, the group’s communications director.

She added: “It will be good for America to watch Sarah Palin on the campaign trail – bouncing from parenting to politics. That’s how most women function – multi-tasking, leaning on friends and family, and waking up each morning and doing it all again.”

The Clinton Cabal are alive and well undermining the Obama campaign. Look for a Bill or Hillary gaffe who will further hurt Team Obama and the Democrats who showed them no love during the primary campaign.

dickandsharon-price

From My.BarackObama.com

Remember the outrageous and unsubstantiated rumor that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called Barack Obama “Sambo” and Hillary Clinton a “Bitch?”

Who was behind this smear?

Shocker it was Barack Obama supporters, Dick and Sharon Price.

dickandsharonprice2

Democrat political operatives put up the smear so Obama’s campaign could claim plausible deniability.

Oops guess a little transparency on this bull shit even caused Daily Kos to take the smear down.

Day By Day090508

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Karma is a bitch, isn’t it Barack?

Hillary Clinton may be the most obvious choice to throw into the ring against the new darling of American politics, Sarah Palin, but the failed Democratic presidential candidate is refusing the job.

“We’re not going to be anybody’s attack dog against Sarah Palin,” a Clinton insider said yesterday.

It’s an extraordinary act of hubris from a woman whose success in exposing Barack Obama’s weakness in working-class Democratic states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana may have been the reason that John McCain chose a gun-toting, God-loving mother of five as his running mate.

Although she is 60 and unlikely to have another shot at the White House, Clinton is apparently concerned that she would appear ungenerous to the Republicans’ first female vice-presidential candidate if she were to go after her.

It is a rationale that will fuel the belief - lingering among Democrats since Al Gore’s failed 2000 presidential run - that the Clintons always put themselves before their party.

It was certainly a feeling reinforced during the death-by-a-thousand-cuts primaries when both Clinton and her husband, Bill, launched numerous vicious attacks on Obama even when it was clear that she could not win her party’s nomination.

Like Flap said when it was announced that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama will meet for lunch on 9/11:

Hillary and Bill Clinton will do NOTHING for you , Barack - except help you lose.

Geraghty has the money quote:

As it is, he’s asking her, “hey, sorry about that bitter primary thing, calling your husband racist, and the lack of campaign debt relief. Could you do me a favor and alienate a certain portion of your voters, obliterate your newfound respect from some corners of the right, and incinerate your chance to head a Democratic ticket in 2012 by making a kamikaze run at America’s newest sweetheart, in order to save my tuchus? Thanks.”

Plus, the Clinton Cabal has not EVEN started working on destroying Obama’s campaign. Hillary will take on Sarah Palin directly in 2012 when she runs for the vacated Presidency of a retiring John McCain.

In the meantime, Hillary will keep her powder dry and concentrate on sinking the Obamessiah.
