It is important to note that “if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world”.

So says President Barack Obama. Or I should say: Barack Hussein Obama.

That’s right: Barack Hussein Obama. Say it proud. Say it out loud. The middle moniker that dared not speak its name during the election campaign is now front and centre of the US president’s attempt to woo the Muslim world, the theme of his visits to Riyadh on Wednesday and Cairo on Thursday.

Petrified of the potential political fallout of being branded a Muslim, Candidate Obama – a practicing Christian – never used the name “Hussein” and its use was frowned upon as a forbidden code for the nutty accusation that he was some kind of Islamic Manchurian candidate.

No more. To say Barack Hussein Obama - BHO for short – now appears to be the height of political correctness.

As I argue in this analysis for the Telegraph dead tree edition, Obama is seeking to return to a Middle East policy based on realism - buttressed by the bona fides of his own multi-cultural (including Muslim) background.

Interesting, particularly since during last year’s campaign when the Obama operatives would wail like a stuck pig whenever a mention was made of Obama’s Muslim heritage.

Given widespread unease and prejudice against Muslims among Americans, especially in the wake of 9/11, the Obama campaign was perhaps understandably very sensitive during the primaries and general election to downplay the candidate’s Muslim roots.

The candidate was even offended when referred to by his initials ”BHO,” because he considered the use of his middle name, “Hussein,” an attempt to frighten voters.

With insane rumors suggesting he was some sort of Muslim Manchurian candidate, then-Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and his campaign did everything they could to emphasize his Christianity and de-emphasize the fact that his father, Barack Obama Sr., was born Muslim.

Oh Well.

Who said Barack Hussein Obama was NOT politically expedient? I mean, after all, his statements come with an expiration date and why can’t his background and heritage. You know be turned on and off like a spigot.

So, can we call Obama a “JACK” Muslim or just a convenient one?

And, is America now a MUSLIM nation? Or, One of the Largest Muslim Countries in the World?

NO -  not according to the numbers despite what President BHO says.

With an estimated 5 million to 8 million Muslims, obviously he does not mean by percentage; Muslims are less than 3% of the U.S. population.

By sheer number, the United States is far behind Indonesia (213 million), Pakistan (156 million), Bangladesh (127 million) and so on. At least 23 nations have more Muslims.

The USA in fact has less than 1% of the world’s Muslim population of an estimated 1 billion people.

There goes that political expedience again but the statement will expire anyway when MSNBC mentions the fact he is mistaken/LYING.

Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips said that Islamic legal principles could be employed to deal with family and marital arguments and to regulate finance.

He declared: ‘It is possible in this country for those who are entering into a contractual agreement to agree that the agreement shall be governed by a law other than English law.’

In his speech in an East London mosque Lord Phillips signalled approval of sharia principles as a means of settling disputes so long as no punishments that conflict with the established law are involved, and as long as divorces are made to comply with the civil law.

But his remarks – which give the green light from the highest judicial office to the informal sharia courts already operated by numerous mosques – provoked a storm of criticism.

The British system of law has always been perverted with religion – look at Henry the VIII and the Church of England as a prime example.

Now, Americans have reinforced why there is a “wall of separation” between church and state written into the first amendment to the United States Constitution.

Let this be a warning to the United States Supreme Court who has some members who wish to use international law in deciding cases.
