Re-elected Senator Chambliss: Sarah Palin is DYNAMITE

    Sarah Palin and Saxby Chamblis

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, at podium, campaigns for Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., right, in Atlanta on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008. Palin urged Georgia voters to back Chambliss in Tuesday’s runoff in an election eve appeal that underscored her popularity within the Republican Party and the GOP’s efforts to stave off erosion of its shrinking Senate numbers.

Yes, Sarah Palin is DYNAMITE and a ROCK STAR in the GOP.

Senator Saxby Chambliss cannot say enough about her:

    • “I can’t overstate the impact she had down here,” Chambliss said during an interview Wednesday morning on Fox News.
    • “When she walks in a room, folks just explode,” he added. “And they really did pack the house everywhere we went. She’s a dynamic lady, a great administrator, and I think she’s got a great future in the Republican Party.”
    • “We had John McCain and Mike Huckabee and Gov. Romney and Rudy Giuliani, but Sarah Palin came in on the last day, did a fly-around and, man, she was dynamite,” he said. “We packed the houses everywhere we went. And it really did allow us to peak and get our base fired up.”

This is why the LEFT has so personally attacked Palin and painted her as a know-nothing rube who is out of her element. In the meantime, the ‘Cuda will govern Alaska, win re-election and raise tons of money for the GOP.

Saxby Chambliss Re-Elected to United States Senate from Georgia

    Sarah Palin and Saxby Chamblis

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, at podium, campaigns for Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., right, in Atlanta on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008. Palin urged Georgia voters to back Chambliss in Tuesday’s runoff in an election eve appeal that underscored her popularity within the Republican Party and the GOP’s efforts to stave off erosion of its shrinking Senate numbers.

The GOP saved a filibuster-proof minority when incumbent Senator Saxby Chambliss crushed Jim Martin in tonight’s U.S. Senate electon run-off.

NBC News declares Republican incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss the projected winner in his Georgia runoff election contest against Democrat Jim Martin.

The runoff between Martin and Chambliss, triggered when neither candidate garnered over 50% of the vote on November 4th, pointed a month-long national spotlight at the state.  High-wattage surrogates like Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and Sarah Palin appeared in the hopes of mobilizing Republican voters for Chambliss.  Barack Obama did not campaign in person for underdog Martin, choosing to throw a lower dosage of his political capital into the race by recording a radio ad and robocalls for the Democrat; surrogates for Martin did include former president Bill Clinton and former vice president Al Gore.

Another winner tonight is Alaska governor Sarah Palin who made four campaign appearances for Chambliss yesterday.

Palin drew large crowds and Chambliss remarked, “She — she truly is a rock star,” Chambliss said on FOX. “I mean, she came into town to help us electrify our base, make sure that these folks get fired up and turn out tomorrow, and she did exactly that.”

The GOP will have to earn its way back into majority status in the Congress and regain the Presidency.

But, the Republican Party started tonight.

    The Senate Savior: Sarah Palin

    Sarah Palin in Georgia

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, center, waves to a crowd during a campaign stop for U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga, Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 in Savannah, Ga.

You betcha Sarah Palin is popular with the GOP crowd in Georgia.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin lent her rock-star status to U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss this afternoon in a state fly-around that GOP strategists hope will help put Chambliss over the top in Tuesday’s Senate runoff against Democrat Jim Martin.

Palin was greeted by cheers of “Sarah! Sarah!” in what is decidedly Republican country: south Houston County. More than 2,700 people RSVP’d for the rally at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, one of several appearances for the duo today across Georgia. Meanwhile, Martin is mustering his own strength for Tuesday’s runoff, appearing in Macon this afternoon with veterans and in Atlanta this evening with rap star Ludacris.

    And, where is Obama?

Barry lent his “organizers” but not his own political Capital.

    ‘Cuda 1 – Barry 0 – providing Chambliss wins.

Sarah Palin to CLOSE Saxby Chambliss Race for Georgia U.S. Senate

    Sarah Palin in Iowa

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin campaigning in Iowa, October 25, 2008

Sarah Palin hits the GOP road again to campaign the day before the Georgia U.S. Senate run-off election.

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will make multiple campaign appearances on behalf of Sen. Saxby Chambliss next week in Georgia, serving as the political closer for the GOP senator who is battling to win a second term.

This is Palin’s first campaign appearance on behalf of another Republican candidate since losing her bid to become the nation’s first woman to serve as vice president.

Palin will attend a fundraiser on Sunday night, then appear at multiple campaign stops on Monday in an effort to rally the GOP base to turn out to vote for Chambliss. The incumbent Republican is facing a strong challenge from Democrat Jim Martin. A runoff is scheduled for next Tuesday, after neither candidate received the 50 percent plus one vote needed to win on Election Day.

Run-off elections are ALL about turnout and if there is anyone who can motivate GOP base voters to go to the polls next Tuesday, it is Sarah Palin.

    Sarah Palin is the CLOSER.

The GOP needs this seat to maintain its ability to filibuster heinous Democrat initiatives in the Senate and Palin is happy to oblige as the darling of the RIGHT.
