Scott Wilk Organizes Support for Andy Vidak in California State Senate Race

    Andy Vidak Mailer

    Vidak for Senate

From my email inbox earlier today from California Assemblyman Scott Wilk:

    Hi Everyone,

On July 23rd there will be a special run-off election for the 16th Senate District.

I’m asking that you join me to journey to southern San Joaquin Valley to walk precincts for GOP candidate Andy Vidak on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th.  I’m looking for 15 more souls willing to give up a weekend to help end the Democrats’ super majority in the state Senate.

In the primary, cherry farmer Andy Vidak missed avoiding a run-off by a mere  85 votes and he is up beyond the margin of error in every poll that has been conducted since.  However, this is a special election so voter turn-out with be the key.

All expenses will be paid including: travel; lodging; meals and a Saturday night volunteer party.

We’ll be departing 7:30 a.m. sharp from the Wells Fargo parking lot at The Old Road and Valencia Boulevard (right off of the I-5).  I anticipate us returning around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

If you can, please let me know ASAP by emailing me at swilk@wilkforca.com.  Also it’s important that we get a full commitment so please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested.

Winning this election will stop some of the bad legislation going through the Legislature, and secondly, it will help set the stage for a GOP come back in 2014.

This is really an important opportunity and I implore you to make the effort to join us!

     My best,

    STW

Here is some information on the race.

Even though a Vidak and GOP win in this race will not affect the 2/3’rds Super Majority that California Democrats enjoy in the California State Senate, it would narrow their margin to only one vote.

This is a winnable seat and if you have any time or some money to send Vidak’s way, it would be an effort well spent.
