In an lengthy interview for the forthcoming documentary “Media Malpractice” Governor Sarah Palin, for the first time at length, takes on the media coverage of her and the 2008 campaign

Flap is amazed at the negative BUZZ that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin continues to draw in the “Drive-by Media” and in the LEFT blogosphere.

A little more experience in public office, especially in foreign affairs and watch out. Flap sees 2008 for Palin as Reagan’s 1976 run against Gerald Ford - pre-emptive.

Sarah Palin will re-emerge on the national political stage sooner than the Democrats like to admit.

Michael Ramirez on Leon Panetta

Political Cartoon by Michael Ramirez

The incoming Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committe, California Senator Dianne Feinstein has caved and now supports the appointment of former Bill Clinton Chief of Staff and former California Congressman Leaon Panetta as the the next Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, despite the fact he has NO intelligence community experience.

Obama wants a loyalist as DCIA so he does not get stabbed in the back by CIA career bureaucrats like President Bush did his entire time in office.

But, is political loyality enough when you are fighting two wars and international terrorism?

If the United States suffers another failure in intelligence like 9/11, Obama will be heavily criticized for this risky and rookie appointment.

You mean Barack Obama is ACTUALLY going to answer questions from the White House Press corps?

Having watched Chuck Todd for a while, Flap doubts that Obama will be getting too much of a free pass - at least not yet. Likley, “The One” will ignore Chuck.

Howard Jarvis June 1978

Even RINO California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will NOT take on Prop 13 and the California Constitution.

Democratic leaders sent Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger an $18 billion deficit-cutting package on Tuesday, a plan he quickly vetoed as anti-tax groups filed a lawsuit to stop it.

The activity came amid the Legislature’s third special session since the November election to deal with California’s worsening budget deficit, projected at $42 billion over the next 18 months.

With Schwarzenegger’s veto, time is running out for lawmakers to find a midyear fix. The state controller has warned that California will be so short of cash it will have to start issuing IOUs in February to vendors and taxpayers expecting refunds.

Democrats said their plan would have avoided what Schwarzenegger has described as a “financial Armageddon,” but it appeared to be dead even before it arrived on the governor’s desk.

California Legislative Democrats tried an end run around the California Constitution that was amended in 1978 by Proposition 13 that requires any increase in taxes be affirmed by a 2/3rd’s vote of the Legislature.

If the Governor were to have a change of heart and approve such an outrageous scheme, the California Supreme Court would quickly issue an injunction and/or a referendum petition would be quickly filed by California voters.

Looks like the California Legislature better get busy and cut spending.

Conservative writer Ann Coulter interviewed by NBC’s Matt Lauer

Lauer is pretty indignant that Ann Coulter was NOT banned and that she was whining because she was merely cancelled and rescheduled for Tony Blair. We all know former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is more important than selling your latest book, Ann.

Matt Lauer is a sanctimonious left-wing fool and while he gets in some zingers against Coulter, Flap bets her book sales soar.

Coulter’s latest book, Guilty, can be purchased here.

Ann Coulter Guilty

Roland Burris and Harry Reid

Illinois U.S. Senate Appointee Roland Burris, left, smiles as he meets with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nev., Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, on Capitol Hill in Washington

Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid clings to the notion that Roland Burris will NOT be accepted until the Illinois Secretary of State signs off on the appointment.

The Illinois Supreme Court ruling on the matter is imminent and the Senate Democrats continue to look like Ass-hats. California Senator Dianne Feinstein has insisted that the signature of Jesse White (Illinois Secretary of State) is not required to seat Burris.

But, Reid insists that this block of Burris is NOT racial.

Obviously, a DEAL has not been cut with Roland Burris.

Stay tuned - Roland Burris will hold a news conference in a couple of hours.

+++++Update+++++

Harry Reid’s aides are “walking back the story” and according to Fox News say “There will be NO white smoke today.”

So, NO Deal yet?

Roland Burris and Harry Reid

Illinois U.S. Senate Appointee Roland Burris, left, smiles as he meets with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nev., Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, on Capitol Hill in Washington

Roland Burris had the Senate Democrats and Harry Reid by “the short hairs” anyway and now assumes a rightfully appointed seat to replace Barack Obama in the United States Senate.

Senate Democrats plan to accept Roland Burris for President-elect Barack Obama’s vacant seat.

Burris was scheduled to meet Wednesday with the Senate’s top two Democrats — Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and assistant leader Dick Durbin of Illinois — on Wednesday, a day after his paperwork was rejected at the opening of the 111th Congress.

Senate officials in both parties, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly for Senate members, said there is a growing expectation on Capitol Hill that the saga will end with Burris being seated.

So, what was the “DEAL?”

Time will tell……..
