Memory leaks do happen as we get older as well as the hearing loss. Both have advantages with the wife.

With gay marriage happening now in California Flap wonders what the homosexual lobby’s next goal will be?

Answer: Imposition of gay marriage in the states who already voted via state constitutional amendment to not recognize it.

This will be a political fight over the next few decades – one of attrition as states are picked off one by one unless the Supremes act.

Happy Father’s Day everyone.

As the major media outlets continue the drone of Tim Russert post mortems, Flap is taking the day to jaunt out to the horse races and then play some poker.

Yet, Chris, Americans thus far have forgiven or at least turned their head the other way with Barack Obama’s association with:

  • Jeremiah Wright – God Damn America preaching black liberation Pastor for over 20 years
  • Michael Pfleger – Anti-American racist priest
  • William Ayers – Far left Radical terrorist bomber
  • Bernardine Dohrn – Far left Radical terrorist bomber

If Obama had been on the RIGHT, the MSM would have had him for lunch.

Is Flap missing something here?

When the United States Supreme Court begins to subvert the Constitution by making its own law it is time for the people to rise up and control the court.

The awarding “The Privilege of Habeas Corpus To Terrorists” may be the death knell for respect of the court. Justice Scalia in dissent:

America is at war with radical Islamists. The enemy began by killing Americans and American allies abroad: 241 at the Marine barracks in Lebanon, 19 at the Khobar Towers in Dhahran, 224 at our embassies in Dar es Salaam and Nairobi, and 17 on the USS Cole in Yemen. See National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States, The 9/11 Commission Report, pp. 60–61, 70, 190 (2004). On September 11, 2001, the enemy brought the battle to American soil, killing 2,749 at the Twin Towers in New York City, 184 at the Pentagon in Washington, D. C., and 40 in Pennsylvania. See id., at 552, n. 9. It has threatened further attacks against our homeland; one need only walk about buttressed and barricaded Washington, or board a plane anywhere in the country, to know that the threat is a serious one. Our Armed Forces are now in the field against the enemy, in Afghanistan and Iraq. Last week, 13 of our countrymen in arms were killed.

The game of bait-and-switch that today’s opinion plays upon the Nation’s Commander in Chief will make the war harder on us. It will almost certainly cause more Americans to be killed.

There needs to be fundamental reform of the U.S. Supreme Court, with term limits and age limits. Lifetime tenure for all Federal judges should be changed by amending the Constitution. Why should the judiciary be immune from the “change” in the executive and legislative branch of government?

Real nice, Chris, playing the male victim card. Sounds like Democrat Ohio Governor Ted Strickland whining about the Vice Presidency.

Flap is happy to report this morning that Thousand Oaks is the 4th safest city in the United States (cities above 100,000 population).

The city of Irvine is the safest city in the country for the fourth straight year for communities with populations over 100,000, according to FBI statistics.

The next four safest cities, in declining order, were Gilbert, Ariz.; Bellevue, Wash.; Thousand Oaks, and Cary, N.C.

The designation was based on FBI data compiled from January through December of 2007 on the crimes of murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, auto theft and arson.

Congratulations are in order to Ventura County Sheriff Bob Brooks and all of his officers who keep us safe in Thousand Oaks. Kudos also to Ventura County District Attorney Greg Totten and Ventura County judges who administer criminal justice so well.
