David Kernell faces additional charges in the Sarah Palin e-mail account hacking case (Via M/M).

Three more federal charges have been filed against a University of Tennessee student charged with hacking into the personal e-mail account of Sarah Palin, the Alaska governor and former Republican vice presidential nominee.

David Kernell, the son of a Democratic Tennessee legislator, pleaded not guilty to all charges Monday, and a magistrate agreed to push back his trial from May to October.

Kernell allegedly gained access to Palin’s account in September by correctly answering a series of personal security questions.

The new counts are fraud, unlawful electronic transmission of material outside Tennessee and attempts to conceal records to impede an FBI investigation.

An earlier indictment against Kernell was unsealed in October. He pleaded not guilty and was released on several conditions, including staying away from his computer except for school work.

Almost a year later, this MORON will be tried for hacking into the Alaska Governor and GOP Vice Presidential nominee’s private e-mail account.

Flap continues to wonder whether the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice will be concerned with the ‘Cuda’s right to privacy – especially when it involves the son of a Democrat POL?

Who dunnit?

The blogosphere and law enforcement authorities are closing in and focusing on David Kernell, son of Tennessee Democrat State Representative Mike Kernell.

The son of state Rep. Mike Kernell has been contacted by authorities in connection with a probe into the hacking of the personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Kernell confirmed on Thursday.

Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, said his 20-year-old son David had been contacted by authorities investigating the hacking of Palin’s personal email account.

The FBI and the Secret Service started a formal investigation on Wednesday into the hacking.

David Kernell is a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Mike Kernell said he spoke to his son on Thursday, as he does on a regular basis.

Kernell otherwise declined to comment, or discuss his son’s whereabouts and whether he was in custody.

The Sarah Palin e-mail hacker was the son of a Democrat Lawmaker.

Fancy that – a political “dirty trick.”

Flap knew his political radar was up for a reason this morning.

Update:

Michelle Malkin has more on the Associated Press and their lack of cooperation with the United States Secret Service on the Palin e-mail matter.

By refusing to cooperate with the federal investigation into the
hacking crime and publicizing the Palins’ other personal Yahoo e-mail
account information, the AP openly invited hackers to break into those
family accounts as well and endorsed illicit activity to raid private family photos.

The issues are inextricably linked, to borrow a phrase, and raise
questions about the propriety of AP’s continued flacking for Barack
Obama under the guise of objective journalism.

Don’t look for the AP to be the first to report who the REAL hacker is.
