Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani during 2008 Presidential race

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is proving again he is a good Republican party man.

Rudy Giuliani will appear at an event with Mitt Romney on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the assault on Osama bin Laden, a campaign aide confirmed to CNN.

The death of the former al Qaeda leader is currently a political talking point between the campaigns of the former Massachusetts governor and President Barack Obama, with both sides attempting to capitalize on the one-year anniversary.

There is NO love lost between these two. But, Rudy is always the loyal Republican and will likely do whatever he is asked to elect Mitt Romney.

And, I do not exepect Romney to ask Rudy to be any part of his administration.

I don’ think Rudy particularly cares.

A little late in the game since Mitt Romney has already locked up the Republican Presidential nomination with Rick Santorum’s suspending his campaign. Newt Gingrich will NOT be able to beat Romney in delegates to the GOP Convention.

Here is the video:

You might be wondering why Rudy, the former New York City Mayor has waited so long? This is an easy one – Rudy doesn’t like Mitt much – especially since the 2008 campaign when Romney pushed personal details to the press about Giuliani’s wives and family.

Ed over at Hot Air has transcribed the quotes:

When you have one of these things, it leaves animosity, no doubt about it.  The only time it didn’t happen was with John McCain, because John was an old friend, and we sort of palled around a lot when we campaigned against each other, told a lot of jokes. Usually, ones I can’t repeat.  I love John.  I almost didn’t run because John was running, so it was easy for me — I just got out and supported him.  I see that [toughness] as a virtue.  I don’t think the Democrats have any idea what they’re running against.  I mean, Mitt Romney is a tough, tough campaigner, and his campaign organization is really tough.

I agree with Rudy about Mitt Romney being a tough campaigner. Mitt has not spend the last 5-6 years of his life not to give Obama a race he will remember.

But, I, also, understand Rudy’s hope for another GOP Presidential nominee. And, Rudy won’t be waiting for a call from Mitt for any cabinet position either.

Rudy did what a good GOP party man does – but he doesn’t have to like it.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani hammers Mitt Romney on being the flip-flopper that he is.

Rudy is RIGHT and there is NO love lost between these two – obviously.

The press won’t report what is going on with the Occupy Wall street protesters, because many of them believe in their struggle – just like President Obama.

But, the President is coming up for re-election next year and many think #OWS will be a millstone around his neck.

“I believe that Barack Obama owns the Occupy Wall Street movement,” Rudy Giuliani said at the Defending the American Dream Summit. “It would not have happened, it would not have happened but for his class warfare. And remember, as it gets worse and worse because it’s going to get worse and worse, where it came from. Barack Obama. He praised it. He supported it. He agrees with it. He sympathizes with it. And as it gets worse and worse, I believe this will be the millstone around Barack Obama’s neck that will take his presidency down.”

“How about you occupy a job. How about working? Working. I know that’s tough,” Giuliani also said.

+++++Update+++++

George Will’s column is now posted.

Pretty brutal stuff…..

George Will “Romney is the Republican Party’s Michael Dukakis”

I wrote a few weeks ago why the Republican Party should NOT settle for Mitt Romney without eyes wide open.

George Will in a preview of this Sunday’s column drives the point home.

Romney, supposedly the Republican most electable next November, is a recidivist reviser of his principles who is not only becoming less electable, he might damage GOP chances of capturing the Senate: Republican successes down the ticket will depend on the energies of the tea party and other conservatives, who will be deflated by a nominee whose blurry profile in caution communicates only calculated trimming. Republicans may have found their Michael Dukakis, a technocratic Massachusetts governor who takes his bearings from ‘data’ … Has conservatism come so far, surmounting so many obstacles, to settle, at a moment of economic crisis, for THIS?

I, frankly, think there needs to be another candidate to face off against Mitt Romney in the upcooming primary elections. Mitt may win the nomination with the current field but, despite what the poll says today, will lose to President Obama.

Mitch Daniels, Rudy Giuliani or Mike Huckabee are all capable POLS who SHOULD challenge him. There should be an immediate DRAFT effort.

If the GOP were to nominate Romney anyway, then there you go. Don’t blame me for the epic loss to Obama and the failure to win back the U.S. Senate.

But, Republican voters really should have more choices.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on the Sean Hannity radio show

How did I know that Rudy would not tolerate the Occupy Wall Street protesters as much as current Mayor Bloomberg?

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani told Sean Hannity on his talk show yesterday that, if he was still mayor, he would have told the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters, “You are not allowed to sleep on the streets.”

On his show, Hannity asked Giuliani how he would have dealt with the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement if he was still mayor of New York City – to which Giuliani replied, “Well I had a rule and I enforced it as best I could and pretty effectively. The rule was: You’re not allowed to sleep on the streets. Sorry, not allowed to sleep on the streets. Streets are not for sleeping.”

“Sleeping on the streets is a dysfunctional act. It harms the person, it harms society, it leads to unsanitary conditions that affect public health,” added Giuliani. “The first one who decided to sleep there should have been removed and then the second one, and the third one, and the fourth one and the fifth one.”

“They can protest during the daytime if they want to, but if you want to stay over in New York City overnight, you got to rent a room, and if you’re homeless we got plenty of shelters for you,” said Giuliani

A No nonsense, yet compassionate POL.

Listen to it all……

I cannot think that the appeasement that Mayor Bloomberg is allowing will work out well for the protesters or the New York City workers on Wall Street.
