Giuliani and Biden Giuliani: Biden Unfit for the Vice Presidency

Careful now, Rudy, or Obama will throw “Slow” Joe Biden over the cliff and pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

Giuliani’s comments were made after the Vice President’s remarks yesterday about ‘They’re Going to Put Y’all Back in Chains’.

Here is the video:

And, the transcript:

KUDLOW: You know, what did he say? ‘Y’all going to be put back in chains’? That almost has racial overtones, Rudy Giuliani. What’s your take on that?

GIULIANI: Well, I think if it came from somebody serious maybe we’d get all excited about it. But the — I think the vice president of the United States has become a laugh line on late night television. I mean, he — I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things. I mean, there’s a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it. I mean, this guy just isn’t bright. He’s never been bright. He isn’t bright. And people think, ‘Well, he just talks a little too much.’ Actually he’s just not very smart.

Again, is this a plot to get rid of Biden?

I cannot envision a weaker, gaffe-prone Vice Presidential candidate.

Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin Cheney: Choosing Sarah Palin as Vice President Nominee Was a Mistake

Former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin

Dick Cheney said today that John McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential nominee was a “mistake.”

Dick Cheney has some advice for Mitt Romney on choosing a running mate:  Don’t pick another Sarah Palin.

In his first interview since receiving a heart transplant in March, Cheney told ABC News, that John McCain’s decision to pick Palin as his running mate in 2008 was “a mistake” —  one that it is important from Romney not to repeat.

It’s subject on which Cheney has some unique experience.  He helped Presidents Gerald Ford and George W. Bush lead their vice presidential searches and, of course, served as vice president for eight years.  He’s also privately offered some advice to both Romney and Beth Myers, who is leading Romney’s search for a runningmate, on the process.

Cheney would not comment on what he told Romney and Myers, but he was harsh in his assessment of McCain’s decision to pick Palin.

“That one,” Cheney said, “I don’t think was well handled.”

“The test to get on that small list has to be, ‘Is this person capable of being president of the United States?’”

Cheney believes Sarah Palin failed that test.

Well, Cheney never really thought Sarah Palin was qualified to be the Vice President. He just did not articulate it so bluntly earlier.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney won’t say whether he thinks Sarah Palin is qualified to be president.

Asked in an interview on NBC broadcast Tuesday morning whether he thought she was qualified, Cheney ducked and said he’s “not going to get into the business … of saying this one is, this one isn’t.”

The former vice president said he would speak out at a later time on the 2012 contest.

“I’m interested in Gov. Palin like a lot of people are,” he said in an interview on the “Today” show.

“I’ve met her,” he said. “I thought she’s got an interesting political career established.”

Cheney said he watches the former Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate’s reality show, “Sarah Palin’s America,” and thinks it’s “very good.”

Cheney wouldn’t weigh in on her chances in 2012 or whether she’d do a good job in the White House. “She’s clearly a factor in the Republican Party, has a strong following. She also has a lot of critics.”

It’s not the first time Cheney has avoided weighing in on whether he thinks Palin could be president.

The problem with the GOP in 2008 was not Sarah Palin, despite her shortcomings and lack of experience. It was not her blow-up with Katie Couric.

The problem and the mistake in 2008 was the Presidential nominee, John McCain. He simply was too old, too liberal and not aggressive enough in order to make the GOP case to the American people. The campaign he ran was abysmal.

Even though New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was more moderate on social issues than the GOP platform, he would have been the better nominee.

Rudy would not have needed and would not have selected a novice, inexperienced Governor from a small state to be his Vice President. I would have bet he would have chosen Mike Huckabee to balance the ticket and would have beaten Obama.

Romney and Giuliani President 2012: Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani Team Up on Bin Laden Anniversary Date

Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani during 2008 Presidential race

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is proving again he is a good Republican party man.

Rudy Giuliani will appear at an event with Mitt Romney on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the assault on Osama bin Laden, a campaign aide confirmed to CNN.

The death of the former al Qaeda leader is currently a political talking point between the campaigns of the former Massachusetts governor and President Barack Obama, with both sides attempting to capitalize on the one-year anniversary.

There is NO love lost between these two. But, Rudy is always the loyal Republican and will likely do whatever he is asked to elect Mitt Romney.

And, I do not exepect Romney to ask Rudy to be any part of his administration.

I don’ think Rudy particularly cares.

A little late in the game since Mitt Romney has already locked up the Republican Presidential nomination with Rick Santorum’s suspending his campaign. Newt Gingrich will NOT be able to beat Romney in delegates to the GOP Convention.

Here is the video:

You might be wondering why Rudy, the former New York City Mayor has waited so long? This is an easy one – Rudy doesn’t like Mitt much – especially since the 2008 campaign when Romney pushed personal details to the press about Giuliani’s wives and family.

Ed over at Hot Air has transcribed the quotes:

When you have one of these things, it leaves animosity, no doubt about it.  The only time it didn’t happen was with John McCain, because John was an old friend, and we sort of palled around a lot when we campaigned against each other, told a lot of jokes. Usually, ones I can’t repeat.  I love John.  I almost didn’t run because John was running, so it was easy for me — I just got out and supported him.  I see that [toughness] as a virtue.  I don’t think the Democrats have any idea what they’re running against.  I mean, Mitt Romney is a tough, tough campaigner, and his campaign organization is really tough.

I agree with Rudy about Mitt Romney being a tough campaigner. Mitt has not spend the last 5-6 years of his life not to give Obama a race he will remember.

But, I, also, understand Rudy’s hope for another GOP Presidential nominee. And, Rudy won’t be waiting for a call from Mitt for any cabinet position either.

Rudy did what a good GOP party man does – but he doesn’t have to like it.

Rudy is RIGHT and there is NO love lost between these two – obviously.
