U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., poses with Dawn Rogers and her sleeping son Zander, 15 months, after Brown signed a copy of his new book, ‘Against All Odds,’ at a bookstore in Boston, Tuesday afternoon Feb. 22, 2011

In fact, more than half of registered voters say he deserves re-election.
Republican Scott Brown is in a strong position as he prepares to seek a full six-year term in the United States Senate in 2012, according to the latest survey from the Western New England College Polling Institute.

The telephone survey of 472 registered voters, conducted March 6-10, found that Brown is the best known among a list of declared and possible candidates for Senate, with a favorability rating of 53 percent and an unfavorability rating of 27 percent.

Also, 52 percent of registered voters say Brown deserves to be re-elected, while 28 percent say he does not deserve to be re-elected. Brown won a special election in January 2010 to serve the remainder of the late Senator Edward Kennedy’s unexpired term and is expected to seek a full term in 2012.

The Democrats want to recapture the “Kemnedy” Senate seat but Senator Scott Brown, a Republican has proven to be popular.

But, will his popularity hold as the election season nears?

At the opening ceremony of the MIT Koch Cancer Institute, Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) thanks petrochemical billionaire David Koch and his wife Julia for their support in Brown’s special election, and asks for more money for his re-election campaign in 2012.

The George Soros funded shills over at Think Progress are still all over the Koch Brothers. This time it is with Massachusett’s Senator Scott Brown at the public dedication of MIT’s David H. Koch Integrative Cancer Institute last Friday night.

BROWN: Your support during the election, it meant a, it meant a ton. It made a, it made a difference and I can certainly use it again. Obviously, the uh . . .

KOCH: When are you running, uh, for the next term?

BROWN: ’12.

KOCH: Oh, okay.

BROWN: I’m in the cycle, I’m in the cycle right now. We’re already banging away. But you guys should all be very proud. I mean this is amazing. I’ve actually taken the tour and uh just the things you aim to attack this issue is, is huge.

SUSAN HOCKFIELD, MIT PRESIDENT: Thank you, Senator.

BROWN: Thank you, for your leadership.

KOCH: Susan was the main uh uh person who created the idea of combining the uh the bioengineers with the cancer researchers and then uh, so she’s a brilliant lady and a leader here.

HOCKFIELD: Hi, David. David’s enthusiasm, Tyler’s [Jacks, Koch Institute director] genius, and I just said, sure, let’s do it.

KOCH: Ha ha ha!

And, why not ask for a contribution? I mean Scott Brown is a POL. If you don’t ask, then you won’t receive, right?

Think Progress is just suffering from KDS or Koch Derangement Synndrome.

Good grief, this Alinsky crap from the FAR LEFT is getting a little old.

I was looking over Flapsblog.com tonight and I noticed this Google Ad showing up on the main page (right sidebar):

When you click on the ad you are directed to this page:

So, is Senator Scott Brown endorsing Carly Fiorina in a contested GOP primary Senate election?

If it is not a formal endorsement, it is pretty darn close since Brown is definitely raising money for her.

And, what does this mean for Chuck DeVore and Tom Campbell?

Earth to Obama, Earth to Obama: The reason Scott Brown was elected in very blue Massachusetts this week was because of YOU and your Congressional Democrat cronies.

It is called dissatisfaction, Mr President.

You were elected because American voters were unhappy with Congressional Republicans and particularly President George W. Bush and their policies.

Wake up, sir and smell the coffee or the voters will treat you with the same disdain by voting your ass out of office.

Chris, certainly new media, including the blogs helped Scott Brown in his race for Massachuseets United States Senate. But, there were other factors in play here as well.

For example, an excellent well-spoken candidate; the Obama induced morose economy, the Obamacare legislative payoff to other states and the bungling candidacy of Martha Coakley.

Social new media though did help in a big way – by immediatley communicating Brown’s candidacy and Coakley’s missteps without the filter of the MSM.

With Republican Scott Brown’s upset victory over Democrat Martha Coakley for Teddy Kennedy’s Massachusetts U.S. Senate seat, it remains to be seen if President Obama will accede to the will of the people or proceed with business as usual. Without a 60 vote Democrat supermajority in the Senate, Harry Reid WILL have to deal with Mitch McConnell and the Republicans.

Will bipartisanship suddenly break out with some modest and scaled back health care reforms being adopted? Or will the far left of the Democrat Party force the issue and the entire Obamacare legislative package be scuttled?

Then, there are the political ramifications. How many Democrat incumbents in the House from red states or red leaning districts will now retire rather than fight for re-election. Filiong deadlines have not been reached in some 70 per cent of Congressional Districts.

Chris, a game of chicken is correct.

Who will blink first?

Obama or the Republicans?

The Scott heard around the world.
In an epic upset in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in a U.S. Senate election Tuesday that left President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul in doubt and marred the end of his first year in office.

The loss by the once-favored Coakley for the seat that the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy held for nearly half a century signaled big political problems for the president’s party this fall when House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates are on the ballot nationwide.

More immediately, Brown will become the 41st Republican in the 100-member Senate, which could allow the GOP to block the president’s health care legislation and the rest of Obama’s agenda. Democrats needed Coakley to win for a 60th vote to thwart Republican filibusters.

Didn’t I say 2010 was going to be an interesting year in American politics.

Bring on the political machinations to try to pass Obamacare and the Congressional Democrats fleeing the good ship Obama.

Stay tuned…….
