Paul Begala: Going Howard Dean

Leftie televison pundit, former Clinton advisor and Democrat Party strategist, Paul Begala is looking more like Howard Dean and the looney Moveon.org bats every day. Is the Left getting desperate?

Yesterday during a panel discussion entitled “Winning the War of Ideas” (Campus Progress National Student Conference) centered on topics discussed in the book “What’s the Matter with Kansas” by Thomas Frank and detailed the challenges that Democrats face in persuading voters in the American heartland and elsewhere to embrace their agenda and support their candidates, Begala stunned his audience by stating:

Begala’s presence on the panel created a stir when he declared that Republicans had “done a p***-poor job of defending” the U.S.

Republicans, he said, “want to kill us.

“I was driving past the Pentagon when that plane hit” on Sept. 11, 2001. “I had friends on that plane; this is deadly serious to me,” Begala said.

“They want to kill me and my children if they can. But if they just kill me and not my children, they want my children to be comforted — that while they didn’t protect me because they cut my taxes, my children won’t have to pay any money on the money they inherit,” Begala said. “That is bulls*** national defense, and we should say that.”

Sounds like BULL to Flap.

But, I suppose Begala has to be a potty mouth and rude because his arguments fail so miserably.

“Okay, they are utterly and completely brain-dead,” echoing comments earlier this year by Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, who accused Republicans of being “brain dead.”

No, not more Howard Dean…..please.

  1. I was told to post my comment here since I originally posted on a mirror site, so here it is…

OK.. I READ YOUR PIECE SOME MORE. You are completely libelous in this article. You literally have made stuff up. I know for a fact because I was at the conference.

"Begala stunned his audience by stating"

OMG, you are SUCH a liar. The audience never interpolated what you and your right wing friends interpolate from textual linguistic convenience. if you listen/watch the conference you can tell that the word they in the killing clause applied to terrorists. Literlaly it never crossed anyone's mind that he meant the republicans. That doesnt even make any sense!!!!!!! This is not an issue of opinion either. You are blatantly and purposely LYING. THERE WAS NEVER A GASP, CONSIDERATION OF IMPROPRIETY, OR EVEN A STUNNED LOOK on anyone's face at the conference, because frankly, he didnt say that!

Nice of you to cut the actual quote in half and take it completely out of context as well. Which is so unethcial journalistcally speaking I dont know where to begin..

I really think you should either delete this post or apologize. campusprogress.org where you can read begala's response for being slandered

  2. …speaking of the false left-right paradigm, Paul Begala is one of the conniving Dem traitors who’ve not just gone along with, but helped bolster, the fake legend surrounding the false-flag attacks of 9/11, as told to us by our lying government and the corporate-run-government-controlled corporate media.

Begala says he had “friends on that plane”. But there was no evidence of “that plane” having been found at the site at which Paul said he saw it crash. (see who else just happened to be driving by at the same time…)

    Oops.

The government’s (and Begala’s) explanation for what happened on 9/11 is riddled with inconsistencies, implausibilities, improbabilities, and even impossiblities:

Please, sheeple: question the implausible; reject the impossible (such as the fact that, at the instant the towers collapsed, the supposedly-undamaged lower floors, which had supported the upper floors for 30 years, suddenly offered ZERO resistance to the collapse — that’s right: the government acknowledges that the towers collapsed in free-fall times which is, according the official explanation for what happened, physically impossible — governments lie, physics doesn’t).

So while Dems and Reps are successfully conspiring to sell our Constitution out from under us, are we going to immerse ourselves in the false fake phony staged opposition between two not-really-opposing sides, or are we ever going to wake up, smell the stench, and rise above it?
