California State Senator John Campbell failed to win a majority of the votes cast (46.0%) and is forced into a run-off election. He will face-off with Minuteman Project Founder Jim Gilchrist (AI, 14.4 %) and Democrat Steve Young (8.9%).

The election will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2005.
