Contact Music.com has SNOOP DOGG BEGS SCHWARZENEGGER FOR CLEMENCY.

Rapper SNOOP DOGG has taken his clemency plea for gang leader STANLEY ‘TOOKIE’ WILLIAMS to California Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER.

The DROP IT LIKE IT’S HOT hitmaker joined protestors outside San Quentin State Prison in California, where Williams is serving time on death row, on Saturday (19NOV05) and made a public plea to Schwarzenegger to grant his friend a stay of execution.

The rap star, real name CALVIN BROADUS, told reporters that the former Crips gang leader, who was imprisoned in 1979 for the murder of four people during two Los Angeles robberies, has inspired him to lead a better life – and he wants Schwarzenegger to think long and hard before agreeing to end his friend’s life.

Snoop said, “He inspired me to want to do something positive with my life. There is no reason on earth to kill him (Williams), and there is every reason to keep him alive.”

To help the cause, Snoop has recorded a new tune, REAL SOON, which he has dedicated to Williams, who has been nominated for Nobel Peace Prizes for his teachings and writing.

Williams is scheduled to be put to death on 13 December (05). Schwarzenegger has admitted he’s “dreading” making the final decision about the former thug’s future later today.

Flap bets for the four people Williams murdered dreaded being DEAD.

No clemency for Tookie.

Justice for his victims.

Snoop Dogg; By “better life”, do you mean rapping about gang banging, and influencing young blacks to live a life of crime. Or perhaps you mean your message that young blacks should just smoke the reefer instead of crack. Snoop Dogg has never done anything positive so why in the hell would anyone listen to him now.

First of all I would like to let Mr.Williams Know that inspite of what happened in the past the lord seen fit that you be here for a reason because he is a forgiving god. I had a little cousin killed by gang violence back in 1995 due to a drive by shooting, at the begining I whated to get revenge for what those gang members did to me and my family for years but something made me realize that each and everyone involved in that night god put them in place, my cousin was only 3 years old god whated him and he took him no matter how tragic it was it happened. So am letting you know that god forgives you and the victims family should forgive you too. Your a smart man who has turned your life around behind bars and I know this through reading about you through the media. I come from a ghetto life style with crips and bloods, drunks , huslers, pimps and hoes, peolpe can change for the better in life so keep your head towards the sky and I’m greatful for Snoop getting out there and helping the best way he knows in saving you, YOUR THE VOICE THAT NEEDS TO BE HEARD GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!! Shanelle much, much,LOVE!

Despite the facts of what he did or didn’t do the man obviously turned his life around and deserves a second chance. His a Nobel Peace Prize winner and he should not be executed.

First of all, contrary to what the previous writer has posted, “Tookie” has not won a Peace Prize, but he was nominated for one. This would be the same peace prize that Jimmy Carter received, so that should tell you it holds as much water as a screen door. The facts are clear that “Tookie” did indeed kill 4 people. He was convicted by a jury of his peers, and therefore should receive his punishment. It does not matter if he has turned his life around. If I hit you in the face then smiled and said I am sorry, that would not remedy what I had just done to you. It is said that he “helps” keep children stay out of gangs. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it was “Tookie” that was a founder of these gangs. Had he not taken the path that he did, we would not be in the perdiciment that we are in right now in regards to youths that join gangs, and embrace a culture that relies on “pimpin”, “thugin”, and “sticking it to the man”. That is rediculous. That culture ensures that you will never get ahead in life and therefore there is a culture that will fail. Please, we would be much better off if there was an emphasis on education (previous writer, it is waited, not whated), an up swing in family values so that we stop having babies out of wedlock and get our children started off in an environment that is conducive for advancement, and please, stop complaining about what you don’t have, quit spending every dime on rims and “bling-bling”, and invest in your future….maybe a college degree will get you further then mo-mo’s after all….

Mike your really sterotyping people with your comments. Let’s be honest just because a jury convicted tookie does that really mean that he is guility. I think not.Innocent people are convicted and few are heard but most that are do not look like Tookie.

He Killed a family of 3, Let’s stand up against for the great injustices done to black men every second if not every minute. So many good lifes damaged by system. But to stand up for Mr. Williams is a waste of time.

I was wondering if Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, Bianca Jagger and Mike Farrell have done *anything* for the families of Yen-I Yang, Tsai-Shai Chen Yang, Yu-Chin Yang Lin and Albert Ownes, who were killed at the hands of Williams?

Did they give help and support to these families? Did they go on the news and solicite help for them?

I already know the answers to my questions.

Funny how, when you read the comments above, the intelligence level of the posters seems to be split along the same level as their opinion on williams. You can’t have two neurons to rub together and think there is any reason that the P.O.S. deserves any kind of leniency. WTF is wrong with these idiots who support him? I understand those who oppose the death penalty because they don’t think the government should be in the life taking business, but to take up williams’ cause because you think he’s anything more than the verminous drain on society that he is, just proves that you don’t have any mental grip on reality. Those that support him – especially the celebrities – should sit in the chamber with him. Reformed? How? Because he wrote some books and told some kids “Do as I say, not as I do…but now that you mention it, snicker snicker, you shoulda heard that kid gurgling blood…I mean, uh…say no to drugs.” All of you tookie supporters out there, how about you just lean in and take one for the team. Suck on an exhaust pipe. Go toward the light. Just get the hell out and leave the world back in the hands of people that can do something good with it.

R.I.P You are in a better place now, and I know for a fact after everything you have done in your life to help Children Steer away from gang violence, God shall have mercy and forgive you for your past doings in life. Stanley Tookie Williams 1953-2005

  • Nadine

Right. Not much people are religious, But i believe God can deal with people far better than human can, and killing isnt the end of the person in question, so waht have they accomplished in the long run? yeh, he killed 4 people (alledgedly, but so very likely)- but i reckon god would have dealt with him. Just like he’ll deal wiv Arnnie.
the whole execution system is wrong, they didnt give him life they shouldn’t take it away. The same can be sed for tookie, but he would have got his anyway. The system’s too quick to sentence death when most of the convicts jus need help.
The execution is murder in itself. You kill the criminals of all the world by execution..then what? More will pop up, we need to unite.
Tookie’s Gone, as are the victim’s – wots done is done

As 4 Snoop, what kinda life is what hes singing about?

  • Nadine

And Jack….every1’s entitled to their POV, ok? Stop acting like a fucking twat, cos right about now the people who can do things with the world, as you say, aren’t doing fuck all about important issue. If ur american, take a good look at ur prsident, and then tlk sense.
    WTF

    SIS BRENDA

  • S.S.D

You know I was thinking about how some people just hate him and how some just love him. In my opinion I can see why he was hated because he basically helped to create the Crips in turn creating the Bloods. And when he was locked up he seemed to be able to help a lot of youngsters out with over coming gangs in the first place which is a great achievement in it’s self if you have ever grown up in a gang infested area. I’m a Blood at the age of 28 and yea I stopped bangin years back, but once your in your in, no turning back. I know that the gang life is overall sick and no mother or father wants to have a child involved in something so life threatening, such as myself. Now if you look clearly at the situation the main reason why this man was executed was because of what he created. Which at the time was something that would better benefit the community and spiraled out of control into a 30-yr. fight between brethren. This was a political move for the Gov., the murders, which if he did or didn’t do were just icing on the cake so that they could make a larger statement as in the cases with the Black Panthers. ~~~My 2 cents. Love it or Hate it…

Some of your blogs really speak for themselves.Such as Nadine,Brenda and Killa, why don,t you ignorant idiots spend some time ,learning how to spell and speak the English language. Maybe then, someone would take you seriously.Tookie the murdering punk-ass that he was, got exactly what he deserved, except about 24 years to late.

  • wn

I,m so sick of crying blacks who never take any responsibility for their own lives and are so quick to blame whites or society for their own failures. You have so many opportunities available to you, but are to stupid and lazy to take advantage of them,it is much easier to whine about how tough you have it.Many big cities have a Greektown,a Chinatown or little Italalies and tourists and locals alike patronize them because they take care of their neighborhoods and take pride in them.I challenge you to show me anywhere in the entire USA, a black neighborhood that is well kept and safe to walk around in,especially for a white man.A black man can walk through a white neighborhood without being attacked, a hell of lot easier than a white man walking through a black neighborhood. You people made the ghettos what they are now shut up and live in them or change them back to the decent neighborhoods they were when you moved into them.

  • keke

I agree and disagree with all of you. Although “Tookie” can say that his life is changed and he can tell as many people that are in jail to stay away from violence and gangs, etc, maybe God will/has forgiven him. God has a plan for everyone, its that persons choice by free will to follow it. He steered off his course as soon as he created this group. He is and will always be the cause of hundreds of childrens deaths/injuries, whether it be because of street fights, drive by shootings, etc. If hes innocent God will know. But he was judged by his peers so regardless what he says now its whats he’d done that put him there in the first place. Unfortunalty for him he didnt change soon enough. He can tell as many people as he wants to keep away from drugs and violence but it doesnt change anything. He still killed those people. They sentenced him for what he did and hes going to have to deal with it. My father was killed by someone he trusted, someone we trusted and yes I want to forgive the woman for killing him. But that will never changed that fact that she killed him in the first place. I will never know if it was an accident or intentional. God will know. So “Tookie” can say and do all that he wants. When he dies God will know the truth. On Earth he will serve his sentence and in Death if he is truely innocent he will be forgiven and be set free from his guilt, pain, and sentence!
