Representative Cynthia McKinney Watch: McKinney a Victim of a Racist Capitol Hill Police Officer
Representative Cynthia McKinney (R) (D-GA) speaks at a news conference with actor Danny Glover (L) and singer Harry Belafonte after she had an altercation with a Capitol Hill police officer earlier in the week in Washington March 31, 2006. McKinney is waiting to learn if she will be charged for apparently striking an officer after she entered a House office building earlier this week unrecognized and did not stop when asked.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: McKinney accuses Capitol Hill cop of racism
Rep. Cynthia McKinney on Friday declared herself the victim of a racist Capitol Hill police officer who her supporters said used excessive force when he stopped her from skirting a security checkpoint earlier this week.
“The whole incident was instigated by the inappropriate touching and stopping of me — a female, black congresswoman,” McKinney said at a news conference, abandoning the apologetic tone she struck earlier in the week.
BULL…..
This bitch should be charged with assault and prosecuted. And her colleague, Representative Juanita Millender-McDonald should be prosecuted for obstruction of justice.
AllahPundit over at M/M has MCKINNEY PLAYS THE RACE CARD
Capitol police are considering filing assault charges against the DeKalb County Democrat next week. But her lawyers said she was acting in self-defense when she struck the officer who tried to stop her.
“Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is … a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin,” said one of McKinney’s lawyers, James Myart Jr.

The Capitol police should file the charges and allow this MORON tell it to the judge. And playing the “RACE CARD” is ludicrous.
But, then again, like Nancy Pelosi said, “It is NO BIG DEAL.”
But police union officials from across the country denounced McKinney’s tactics and said the officer involved — not McKinney — was the true victim.
“There was no excessive force here,” said Lou Cannon, president of the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, which represents Capitol officers. “If she’s trying to turn this into a racial issue, people should ask, ‘Why is she doing this?’ This is an insult to all police officers.”
This is an insult……
McKinney should RESIGN her seat in Congress or the House should throw her ASS out.
Stay tuned…..

France CPE Riot Watch: Jacques Chirac Capitulates on SOME of Job Law
A video grab shows French President Jacques Chirac as he addresses the nation from the Elysee Palace in Paris, March 31, 2006, to explain how he aims to end weeks of strikes and huge demonstrations against the CPE First Job Contract, which critics say undermines job security for young workers. Chirac said on Friday he would sign a controversial youth job law despite weeks of protest against it, but promised amendments that would weaken two of its most disputed reforms.
ASSociated Press: Chirac Makes Some Concessions on Jobs Law
President Jacques Chirac said Friday he would press ahead with a contentious labor law making it easier to fire workers, but he offered some concessions in hopes of calming furious protests that led to nationwide strikes.
Chirac said he would reduce a trial period during which employees could be summarily dismissed from two years to one, and he would require employers to offer reasons for the dismissal.
So, Chirac capitulates and hangs Prime Minister Villepin out to dry. How typical of him. Ask Colin Powell.
Bordeaux II university students react in Bordeaux, southwest France, as French President Jacques Chirac delivers his speech on TV March 31, 2006. The students are protesting against a youth job plan based on a new employment contract which they say will increase job insecurity for the young and will not reduce unemployment. The new job contract, known as the CPE, would allow firms to hire people aged under 26 for a two-year trial period before offering them a permanent job.
And the changes, well, they pretty much gut the law into meaningless bloviation to the French business community. In preserving the principle that workers under 26 would face a lack of job security, Chirac came down on the side of his prime minister, Dominique de Villepin, who has argued that businesses will welcome the added flexibility, encouraging hirings that will bring down France’s chronic youth unemployment rates.
The contested jobs law “can be an effective tool for employment,” Chirac said.
What a joke. The CPE is now worthless and do you think the socialists will be appeased?
The concessions appeared to anger, not appease, opponents of the law, who wanted it scrapped altogether.
“We don’t want to negotiate … we don’t want it at all,” Bruno Julliard, head of the largest students’ union, said on TF1 television. “The president had the chance to give a clear answer, which he didn’t do.”
The head of the Worker’s Force union, Jean-Claude Mailly, said strikes already planned for next Tuesday should go ahead.
A modified law “is not what was asked for,” he said.
Stay tuned for more bloody street demonstrations/protests…..

Representative Cynthia McKinney Watch: Going to Jail?
From the Pirates Cove (via Michelle Malkin): Cynthia McKinney To Be Arrested?
Capitol Hill police are expected to seek an arrest warrant next week for Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia, who was involved in a physical confrontation with a Capitol police officer Wednesday, police and legal authorities said Thursday.
Officially, the investigation of the incident, in which the DeKalb County Democrat allegedly struck a police officer who tried to stop her from going around a security checkpoint, is ongoing, said Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, spokeswoman for Capitol Hill police.
However, police have notified the federal prosecutor’s office in Washington that they will be seeking an arrest warrant after the investigation is complete next week, said police and legal authorities, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because the investigation was not yet complete.
Throw the Moron in jail and fine her heavily.
If Flap did this to a peace officer ……..
Oh! And by the way, McKinney has No regrets.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran Tests New Stealth Missle
ASSociated Press: Iran Tests Missile Able to Avoid Radar
Iran on Friday successfully test-fired a missile that can avoid radar and hit several targets simultaneously, the airforce chief of the elite Revolutionary Guards said.
“Today, a remarkable goal of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s defence forces was realized with the successful test-firing of a new missile with greater technical and tactical capabilities than those previously produced,” Gen. Hossein Salami said on state-run television.
Salami said the Iranian-made missile, which he did not name, was test-fired as large military maneuvers began in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian sea.
And Iran has the chemical and biological warheads to attach to this new missle. Why do you think France announced their willingness to use their nuclear deterrence in defense of their foreign policy?
This announcement is meant to counter the United States annoucement yesterday of America’s 700 ton “bunker buster bomb” test scheduled in Nevada in June.
But, if Iran ever used chemical and/or biological weapons on Israel or United States troops in the Middle East, an American President would have no choice but to retailiate with strategic nuclear attacks on Iran’s military and Revolutionary Guards. Iran’s dead would be counted in the millions.
“This missile can simultaneously hit several targets, has near stealth capabilities with a high maneuverability, pinpoint accuracy and radar avoidance features,” Salami said.
The general said the range of the missile would depend on the weight of its warhead.
“It can avoid anti-missile missiles and strike the target,” he said.
The television screened a brief clip of the launch of the missile.
The Iranian warning is noted. And who has an anti-ballistic missle system – ISRAEL.
Israel’s Arrow Missle
The “Point of No Return” is fast approaching to the United States and its allies, including Israel. Can the “Winds of War” be blowing any harder?
Stay tuned as Iran’s military “manuvers’ continue in the Gulf.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran Plans “War Games”
News24.com (South Africa): Iran plans ‘war games’
Thousands of Iranian troops will on Friday start a week-long military manoeuvre in the Gulf to ready armed forces for warding off “threats”, a senior commander announced on state television.
The commander of the navy of revolutionary guards corps, Rear-Admiral Mostafa Safari, did not specify the nature of the threat although the manoeuvre comes amid increasing tensions with the West over Tehran’s nuclear programme.
“The revolutionary guards corps navy and air force in collaboration with (Iran’s regular) army, navy, (the volunteer militia) Basij, and the Iranian police will start a manoeuvre from 31 March until 6 April in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman,” he said.
Iran has two armed forces in which both have their own ground, naval and air force all under the command of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He added: “We hope … We will gain the necessary and needed readiness to decisively reply to any kind of threats.”
Flap thinks the Iranians are planning for war. Iran has no intention to abide by the requests of the IAEA and the United Nations Security Council.
When the nuclear point of no return is reached,,,,,,,

Major League Baseball Steroids Watch: MLB Commissioner Bud Selig Appoints Former Democrat Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell to Head Steroid Investigation
Former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell, left, is joined by Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig during a news conference in New York, Thursday, March 30, 2006. Selig announced that Mitchell will be leading an investigation into the alleged steroid use by Barry Bonds and other MLB players. ‘Nothing is more important to me than the integrity of the game of baseball,’ commissioner Bud Selig said Thursday.
ASSociated Press:Chief of New Steroids Probe Draws Fire
Baseball began its investigation Thursday into alleged steroid use by Barry Bonds and others, and the head of the inquiry immediately came under attack because of his close ties to the sport.
In the wake of a searing book about Bonds, commissioner Bud Selig appointed former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell — and currently a director of the Boston Red Sox — to lead the investigation.
The probe initially will be limited to events since September 2002, when the sport banned performance-enhancing drugs, but Mitchell has the authority to expand it.
George Mitchell is a Leftie hack that has zero credibility in the sports world. So, why choose him?
Because…..he will stonewall/cover-up any investigation.
And where in the hell has been Bud Selig all of these years as a team owner and Commissioner of Major league Baseball?
Selig said Mitchell’s report will be made public but didn’t set a timetable. By then, Bonds may well have passed Babe Ruth’s home-run mark on the way toward Hank Aaron’s all-time record.
“The goal here is to determine facts, not engage in supposition, speculation, rumor or innuendo,” Selig said.
Yeah, right….
Selig has been grossly negligent and even in a way condoned steroid use. MLB will be well served after his contract expires in December 2007. What a disaster.
And Mitchell? He should resign and go back to ruining the Walt Disney Company.
Mitchell, meanwhile, said he will not resign his position with the Red Sox. He also is chairman of The Walt Disney Co., the parent of ESPN, a national broadcast partner of baseball.
“I don’t think there’s any conflict,” he said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. “I’m going to be independent, have complete independent authority and will act.”
What a JOKE!
Just like Barry Bonds’ homerun records…….

France CPE Riot Watch: Constitutional Council Upholds CPE Jobs Law
A student looks at a riot policeman during an occupation of the Gare du Lyon station in Paris, in protest against the controversial CPE youth jobs law, March 30, 2006.
ASSociated Press: French Council Upholds Divisive Jobs Law
France’s Constitutional Council upheld a new law Thursday making it easier to fire young workers, a measure that sparked nationwide strikes by labor unions and violent protests by students.
The council’s decision puts the onus on President Jacques Chirac to either implement the law as is — at the risk of further unrest — or negotiate a compromise, perhaps by sending the law back to parliament or by proposing modifications.
President Chirac will capitulate in some face saving way. But, if he deserts Villepin then………more protests and civil unrest.
Rarely has a decision by the council, which rules on the constitutionality of French laws, been so awaited. The student- and union-led protest movement has plunged Chirac’s government into crisis, and a decision to strike the law down would have offered a way out.
Instead, the ruling by the council’s nine appointed members allows the law to go into effect — depending on Chirac’s actions — making it easier for employers to fire workers aged under 26, a degree of flexibility that the government argues will spur hirings. Students and labor unions say the contract will erode France’s cherished workplace protections.
Lawmakers in Chirac’s governing majority said they expected him to enact the law quickly — a decision likely to further infuriate protesters. To soften the anger, Chirac may offer talks with labor leaders or appoint a mediator to deal with their concerns, lawmakers said.
With such an outpouring of opposition (albeit it missplaced) it is hard to believe that Chirac won’t do what the socialists in France tell him.
French gendarmes arrest a student on the Gare de Lyon rail tracks, as hundreds of demonstrating students blocked the rail tracks to protest against the new jobs contract in Paris, Thursday March 30, 2006. The fate of a contested French labor law that has inspired massive protests, gravely wounding its champion, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, hung Thursday on a council of experts.
