Representative Cynthia McKinney Watch: Official Police Report Cites Assault with “Closed Fist”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: McKinney report cites assault with ‘closed fist’
The official police report on Rep. Cynthia McKinney’s clash with a Capitol Hill police officer three weeks ago says the DeKalb County congresswoman struck the officer “in his chest with [a] closed fist.”
The “event report” — obtained Tuesday by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution — describes the altercation as an assault on a police officer.
The officer involved in the incident, identified as Paul McKenna, filed the report with his supervisors immediately after the incident occurred at 8:55 a.m. March 29.
The report for the first time provides specific details of what happened when McKenna tried to stop McKinney from going around a security checkpoint at a House office building.
There had previously been reports that McKinney “stabbed” the officer with a cellphone or that she slapped McKenna with an open hand.
McKinney said she was the victim of racial profiling and that the officer had touched her inappropriately when he tried to stop her.
But under pressure from House Democrats and the Congressional Black Caucus, McKinney, a Democrat, apologized for the incident on the House floor last week.
So, what is the disposition of the case?
Why has it taken the United States Attorney and a Grand Jury three weeks for adjudication?
Either charge her or not…..
The decision as to whether McKinney will be charged remains in the hands of a grand jury in Washington.
U.S. Attorney Ken Wainstein turned the matter over to the grand jury two weeks ago. Chuck Canterbury, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, said he met last week with McKenna and asked him to consider filing a lawsuit against McKinney.
Canterbury also called on McKinney to apologize directly to McKenna.

Keith Olbermann Countdown Watch: Michelle Malkin Worst Person in the World
Expose the Left: Olbermann Names Malkin ‘Worst Person in the World’, Omits Key Information (VIDEO)
On tonight’s edition of Countdown, host Keith Olbermann awarded Michelle Malkin the “Worst Person in the World†award for posting phone numbers of Santa Cruz students. However, what Olbermann DID NOT tell you is those ‘students’ were members of an organization called Students Against War (SAW) and that they included their phone numbers in a press release. Olbermann also did not include that these students blocked military recruiters from coming on campus, not merely “protestedâ€. His word, not mine.
Olbermann is a LEFTIE MORON.
Military recruiters have a “right” to be on campus.
IF the students want to protest military recruiters, it is their right.
But, it is also Flap’s right to ridicule them and post their contact details so everyone with an opinion can express same to them.
Tell these MORONS what you think (please no death threats):

Purdue University Graduate Student UNHINGED and Arrested for Threats to President Bush et al
Purdue UniversityPost-Trib.com: Bush death threat tied to PU student
A Purdue University graduate student was arrested and charged with threatening to kill President George W. Bush, Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
Vikram Buddhi allegedly posted the detailed and threatening messages on an online message board.
His Purdue University homepage is here.
Buddhi has been studying industrial engineering at the university, having moved temporarily from India to his new home in West Lafayette 10 years ago on a student visa. He was originally hired as a teaching assistant in the math department but was removed from that position and is now a teaching assistant in the industrial engineering department.
Ten years as a graduate student level teaching assistant. Revoke his student visa and send this MORON home to India.
Buddhi told investigators he posted the message, along with other derogatory messages aimed at the president, but Martin said Buddhi’s actions should be covered by the First Amendment since Buddhi would have never actually carried out his threats.
In the various messages posted, Buddhi urged the Web site’s readers to bomb the United States and for them to rape American and British women and mutilate them, according to court documents. Other messages called for the killing of all Republicans.
“What was allegedly said certainly is derogatory and may be inflammatory,†Martin said. “But there’s no real serious threat more than it was chat on the Web.â€
Sorry, Buddhi, inflammatory speech threatening the President’s life is NOT protected speech.
Purdue University should fire him and then the feds can fine him and then deport him.
Good riddance.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Russia Continues Opposition to United Nations Sanctions
Accompanied by Iran’s army commanders, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, left, reviews army missiles, during a parade ceremony commemorating Army Day in front of the mausoleum of the late revolutionary founder Ayatollah Khomeini just outside Tehran, Iran, Tuesday, April 18, 2006.
ASSociated Press: Russia Still Opposed to Sanctions on Iran
Russia said it remains opposed to sanctions against Iran, and China expressed hope for a negotiated solution as senior diplomats from six countries converged in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss the next step toward solving the Iranian nuclear standoff.
The United States and Britain say that if Iran does not comply with the U.N. Security Council’s April 28 deadline to stop uranium enrichment, they will seek a resolution that would make the demand compulsory.
Negotiations with Iran are going NOWHERE. The United Nations will not be able to enforce the April 28th deadline for Iran to stop their uranium enrichment. What are the remaining options for the United States?
1. Continue the charade of United Nations negotiations
2. Begin one on one negotiations with Iran like talks on Iraq – Senator Richard Lugar suggested this Sunday.
3. Impose sanctions with European and Asian allies
4. Do nothing
5.Military operation to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities and change their regime
So far, Iran has refused to give up uranium enrichment, which the United States and some of its allies suspect is meant to produce weapons. Tehran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin reaffirmed Moscow’s insistence on more diplomatic efforts with Iran. “We are convinced that neither sanctions nor the use of force will lead to the solution of the problem,” he said, according to the ITAR-Tass news agency.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai, the country’s top nonproliferation official, visited Tehran over the weekend and appealed to Iranian leaders to reach a negotiated settlement to the dispute, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
Russia and China, two of the council’s five veto-holding members, have opposed punishing Iran.
Flap handicaps a “slow play” by President Bush. There appears to be no imminent threat that Iran will possess a nuclear weapon and the military option is always available if intelligence becomes availbe that is different than conventional wisdom.
So, why not play for time and let Iran’s ahmadinejad shoot his big yap off boasting of Iran’s nuclear and military successes – which frankly gives pause to his Arab neighbors. The “slow play” will allow the wrap-up of the Iraq War, the support of dissident groups within Iran to affect political regime change and increased intelligence efforts.
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gestures as he talks with Vice President Gholamreza Aghazadeh, Iran ‘s nuclear chief, in Tehran, Iran, Friday, April, 16, 2006.
In the meantime, Ahmadinejad is bloviating again:
On Tuesday, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned that Iran will “cut the hand of any aggressor” that threatens it, and insisted that Iran’s military has to be equipped with the most modern technology.
“Iran’s enemies know your courage, faith and commitment to Islam and the land of Iran has created a powerful army that can powerfully defend the political borders,” he told a parade to commemorate Iran’s Army Day.
The comments came a day after Israel branded Iran as part of an “axis of terror” with Syria and the Hamas-run Palestinian government and said they are making “clear declarations of war.”
“A dark cloud is looming above our region, and it is metastasizing as a result of the statements and actions by leaders of Iran, Syria and the newly elected government of the Palestinian Authority,” Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Dan Gillerman warned.
Diplomatic officials of Russia, the United States, France, Britain, Germany and China will meet over dinner Tuesday in Moscow to discuss the latest moves in the standoff, a Western diplomat said on customary condition of anonymity.
Discussions will continue on Wednesday.
