Representative Cynthia McKinney Watch: More Aides Subpoenaed in McKinney Case
Rep. Cynthia McKinney, D-Ga., shows her Georgia identification as she qualifies to run for re-election at the Capitol in Atlanta, Monday, April 24, 2006 in Atlanta.
ASSociated Press: More Aides Subpoenaed in McKinney CaseMore House aides have been served with subpoenas to testify in the grand jury investigation of an incident last month where Rep. Cynthia McKinney hit a Capitol Police officer.
Staffers from four congressional offices, in statements read on the House floor Tuesday, announced they would comply with subpoenas issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
The offices of Reps. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., and Barbara Lee, D-Calif., confirmed that the subpoenas were related to the March 29 incident where McKinney, a Georgia Democrat, entered a Capitol building unrecognized by the officer on duty and then hit him when he tried to stop her.
Those receiving the subpoenas are thought to have been witnesses to the altercation.
Damn, it has taken a long time to adjudicate this matter. What is brain surgery here?
Representative McKinney assaulted the officer – the case is open and shut.
The other two subpoenas went to aides to Reps. Lois Capps, D-Calif., and Donald Payne, D-N.J. Capps’ office would not comment on the purpose of the subpoena and there was no immediate response from Payne’s office.
Subpoenas were previously issued for aides to Reps. Sam Farr, D- Calif., and Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich. Troy Phillips, senior legislative assistant to Farr, witnessed the incident and testified about it before the grand jury on April 18, Farr’s press secretary, Jessica Schafer, said Tuesday.
The officer involved in the incident, Paul McKenna, testified before the grand jury within the past week, the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call said Tuesday. McKenna has said he asked McKinney three times to stop. After she refused, the officer reportedly placed a hand on her and she hit him.
Principal Assistant U.S. Attorney Channing Phillips said no action was taken Tuesday on whether to charge the congresswoman.
Charge the DUMBASS and move on……
And re-election?
Stay tuned……

CIA Leak Case Watch: Mary McCarthy – A Blog Primer
Hot Air (by AllahPundit): CIA Leak: A Blog Primer
This is one of those stories where, if you miss the first 48 hours, you end up feeling so far behind the curve that you tune it out and never bother with it again. So here’s a round-up of news and blog coverage which, while longish, will bring you up to speed. As of this writing, McCarthy “categorically denies†being the leaker, according to former counterterrorism official/Kerry campaign staffer Rand Beers. So the jury’s still out – although government sources are telling Newsweek to fret not, for the leaker is most definitely she.
Expose The Left has a Matrix to help the reader follow along with following the money, romance and Left-Wing alliances.
Mind in the Qatar created a Matrix that links the accused CIA leaker Mary McCarthy to Joe Wilson, John Kerry, and others.
This is a must see.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Rice – United States Worries that Iran Will Share Nuclear Technology
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, right, and her Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul look toward cameras as she arrives for a meeting in Ankara, Turkey, Tuesday, April 25, 2006.
ASSociated Press: Rice Worries Iran Would Share Technology
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday the United States is concerned over Iranian threats to share the nuclear technology it is developing with other countries.
Appearing at a news conference here, Rice said Bush administration officials “have to be concerned when there are statements from Iran that Iran would not only like to have this technology but would share it, share technology and expertise.”
She was reacting to a statement from Iran’s supreme leader that Tehran was prepared to transfer its nuclear technology to other countries.
“That’s one of the fears, that there would be that kind of escape, if you will, of technology and expertise,” Rice said.
Earlier Tuesday, Iranian’s top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said as he met with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir that “Iran’s nuclear capability is one example of various scientific capabilities in the country. … The Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to transfer the experience, knowledge and technology of its scientists.”
Of course, Iran will share their technology, their enriched uranium and anything else that the Mullahs want to export in the name of Allah.
If the world wants nuclear proliferation then allow Iran to proceed with their nuclear program. Every Islamic country bowing down to the great Iran will have their terrorists strapping radioactive vests on their suicide bombers.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran Threatens to Hide Its Nuclear Program
Iran‘s top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, left, who is also Iran‘s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, talk, during a conference on Iran‘s nuclear program in Tehran, Iran, Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Larijani said Tuesday that Iran will withdraw from all cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency if the U.N. Security Council imposes sanctions against it. Rafsanjani, speaking at the same conference, claimed that Iran had openly launched its nuclear program _ which Iran insists is for peaceful energy purposes only _ ‘but the behavior of western countries forced it to carry out its nuclear program independently, based on local expertise and knowledge without relying on western countries.’
ASSociated Press: Iran Threatens to Hide Its Nuclear Program
Iran’s top nuclear negotiator said Tuesday that Tehran would halt all cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog if the Security Council imposes sanctions against it, and warned it might go further and hide its nuclear program if the West takes any other “harsh measures.”
The statements by Ali Larijani were Iran’s strongest statement of defiance yet before a Friday deadline the Security Council has given the country to stop all uranium enrichment. They came a day after Iran’s president boldly predicted the Security Council would not impose sanctions on Tehran and warned he was thinking about dropping out of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
“Military action against Iran will not end our program,” Larijani said Tuesday, speaking at a conference on the energy program. “If you take harsh measures, we will hide this program. If you use the language of force, you should not expect us to act transparently.”
More BLUSTER from Iran because they fear the IAEA Report to the United Nations Security Council due Friday will be NEGATIVE. And it will be.
But, there should be NO SURPRISE. Iran will NOT voluntarily end their uranium enrichment program.
Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, who is also Iran’s Sercretary of Supreme National Security Council, shows evidence of Iran’s agreement with France on Iran’s nuclear activities before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, at a conference in Tehran, Iran, Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Larijani said Tuesday that Iran will withdraw from all cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency if the U.N. Security Council imposes sanctions against it.
He also said flatly that Iran would not abide by the Friday deadline to suspend uranium enrichment.
“If you take the first step wrong, the wrong trend will continue. We welcome any logical proposal to resolve the issue. They just need to say why should we suspend,” Larijani said.
And Iran’s nuclear program has ALREADY been clandestine but…….
Iran’s former President, Hashemi Rafsanjani, speaking at the same conference, claimed that Iran openly launched its nuclear program — which it insists is for peaceful energy purposes only — “but the behavior of Western countries forced it to carry out its nuclear program independently, based on local expertise and knowledge without relying on Western countries.”
In the meantime, Israel is not sleeping……
Meanwhile, an Israeli defense official said Israel was launching a satellite to spy on Iran’s program, as Iran’s leader persisted with his calls for the Jewish state’s destruction.
Israel planned to launch from Siberia later Tuesday its Eros B satellite, designed to spot images on the ground as small as 27 inches, the defense official said. That level of resolution would allow Israel to gather information on Iran’s nuclear program and its long-range missiles, which are capable of striking Israel, he said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive subject matter.
The United States will await the negative IAEA report and then force a Chapter 7 resolution vote in the United Nations Security Council.
Stay tuned……
