Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran – United States Offer to Join Talks is “A Propaganda Move.”
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (C) reacts as he attends a funeral ceremony for his father Ahmad Ahmadinejad in Tehran, Iran May 31, 2006.
ASSociated Press: Iran media calls talks offer ‘propogranda’
The official Iranian news agency said Wednesday the U.S. offer to join in direct talks with Iran about its disputed nuclear program was “a propaganda move.
The American proposal, a major policy shift after decades without official public contact between the two countries, was made conditional on Iran agreeing to stop its uranium enrichment activities.
“It’s evident that the Islamic Republic of Iran only accepts proposals and conditions that meet the interests of the nation and the country. Halting enrichment definitely doesn’t meet such interests,” IRNA said at the end of a dispatch reporting the offer of talks by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
“Given the insistence by Iranian authorities on continuing uranium enrichment, Rice’s comments can be considered a propaganda move,” IRNA said.
Hahaha President Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have trapped Iran.
Stand down your uranium enrichment or risk United Nations sanctions – like the United States and European Union said the first time.
Ok, Ahmadinejad bury your father and let’s see if your big mouth can get yourself out of this one….
Stay tuned…….watch Mahmoud make a bigger FOOL out of himself in a few hours.

Iran Nuclear Watch: United States Prepared To Join Other Nations in Direct Iran Talks – IF…
ASSociated Press: U.S. says it’s prepared to talk with Iran
In a major policy shift, the United States said Wednesday it is prepared to join other nations in holding direct talks with Iran on its nuclear program if Iran first agrees to stop disputed nuclear activities that the West fears could lead to a bomb.
“To underscore our commitment to a diplomatic solution and to enhance prospects for success, as soon as Iran fully and verifiably suspends its enrichment and reprocessing activities, the United States will come to the table,” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said at the State Department.
Asked at a news conference whether the United States would be willing to re-establish diplomatic relations with Iran, Rice ruled out a “grand bargain” and cited major disagreements between the two countries on many issues. However, Rice said a negotiated solution to the nuclear dispute could “begin to change the relationship.”
“We urge Iran to make this choice for peace, to abandon its ambition for nuclear weapons,” she said. At the same time, Rice acknowledged Iran has a right to civil nuclear energy.
This sounds like a reasonable approach to the international community and TRAPS Iran.
Will Iran accept this offer?
Doubtful……..
Rice will meet with foreign ministers from the other permanent Security Council members on Thursday in Vienna to finalize a package of incentives and threats to be presented to Tehran.
“We hope that in the coming days the Iranian government will thoroughly consider this proposal,” Rice said.
European diplomats told The Associated Press that the package and the U.S. announcement of a willingness to talk were conditioned on pledges from Russia and China to eventually support tough actions such as sanctions if Iran continued to defy a U.N. call to stop its disputed activities.
Stay tuned for the Iranian response.

Illegal Immigration Watch: Send a Brick Project Noticed in Washington Redux
New York Times: A Build-a-Protest Approach to Immigration
Advocates of tougher border security have sent thousands of bricks to Senate and House offices in recent weeks to make a none-too-subtle point with lawmakers about where many of their constituents come down on emerging immigration bills.
Leaders of the campaign, which has delivered an estimated 10,000 bricks since it began in April, said they had hit on the idea as a way to emphasize the benefits of a fence along the border with Mexico.
In an age when professionally planned lobbying campaigns have long since overwhelmed spontaneous grass-roots pressure, organizers of the brick brigade said they also saw an opportunity to deliver a missive not easily discarded.
“E-mails are so common now,” said Kirsten Heffron, a Virginian who is helping coordinate the effort. “It is really easy for the office to say duly noted, hit delete and never think about it again.”
If the impact was notable, so were the logistical difficulties, particularly given the mail screening and other protective measures put into effect at the Capitol after the anthrax attacks of 2001.
Initially, organizers of the Send-a-Brick Project encouraged people to send bricks on their own, and Ms. Heffron said things had gone relatively smoothly.
But many people, she said, preferred that the organization itself send the bricks and an accompanying letter to selected lawmakers.
The project will do it for an $11.95 fee. So when 2,000 individually boxed bricks showed up at once, Senate officials balked, threatening to force the group to pay postage to have each delivered to its intended recipient. The dispute left the bricks stacked up until an agreement to distribute them was worked out.
“We received them and we delivered them to all the addressees,” said a spokeswoman for the office of the Senate sergeant-at-arms.
As the bricks landed in Congressional mailrooms and cramped offices, the effort was applauded in some offices but drew a bemused response elsewhere.
“Given the approval ratings of Congress these days, I guess we should all be grateful the bricks are coming through the mail, not the window,” said Dan Pfeiffer, a spokesman for Senator Evan Bayh, Democrat of Indiana.
Send a Brick to YOUR Congressman.
But, most importantly tell your Congressman if they do NOT vote to Secure OUR Borders First that you will NOT VOTE for their ELECTION OR RE-ELECTION.
Tell them NOT ONE DIME NOR ONE VOTE.
BORDER SECURITY FIRST…….

Iran Nuclear Watch: United States to Join Iran Nuclear Talks?
Supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran demonstrate in Parliament Square, in London. The United States is ready for the first time to join talks with Iran over its nuclear program provided Russia and China agree to sanctions if Tehran refuses to limit its atomic ambitions, diplomats told AFP.
ASSociated Press: U.S. Reportedly Ready to Join Iran Talks
The United States is ready to meet with Iran and other nations for talks on Tehran’s nuclear ambitions if the Islamic republic gives up uranium enrichment, diplomats said Wednesday.
But the diplomats, who requested anonymity because the information was confidential, said Washington would only do so if Russia and China agreed to back U.N. Security Council sanctions against Iran if it remains defiant on the enrichment issue.
So, after months of bluster has Iran suddenly decided to stand down their uranium enrichment program or merely move it underground into hidden facilities?
Is the agreement a ploy by the United States who has intelligence as to the location of Iranian clandestine nuclear facilities – who will then “rat out” Iran thus leading to automatic sanctions?
One of the diplomats told The Associated Press that the Bush administration was planning to make an official announcement on Washington’s conditional readiness to join in such talks later in the day.
The development is significant because the United States has had no official direct talks with the Iranians since the two countries cut diplomatic ties following the occupation of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran by radicals in 1979.
However, Tehran has repeatedly said it will not stop enriching uranium, and China and Russia have both said they oppose the use of sanctions against Iran.
This is an interesting development because it gives the United States and Israel ALL what it wants in the diplomatic process: cessation of Iran uranium enrichment and mandatory United Nations sanctions should Iran be discovered to have started uranium enrichment again.
All without firing a shot…….Iran “FLINCHES”
Now, what will President Ahmadinejad say?
Stay tuned……
