Senator Joe Lieberman Watch: The Jane Hamsher “Black-Face” Flap
Hugh Hewitt has Mel Gibson and Jane Hamsher: The Arianna Connection
Radioblogger has the “disappeared” photoshop effort put out by Jane Hamsher and notes that the HuffingtonPost is much more adept at hiding the evidence of bigotry than anyone working for Gibson or the sheriff’s department.
Here is the missing photo:
Flap had it previously here with a link to Jane Hamsher’s Huffington Post piece now sine graphic.
Duane over at Radioblogger has it right:
Hamsher commits a racial offense toward a United States Senator that is repellent enough to warrant immediate removal from Huffington’s site, but with no explanation or apology.
Wonder what Ned Lamont thinks of his fawning friend Hamsher now? Just wait until Lamont wins the Democrat primary against Joe Lieberman and then what does Lamont and his wife do with Hamsher and Firedoglake?
Flap thinks Lieberman will have Lamont for lunch when he runs as an independent candidate.
The Left netroots self-destructing again……ya gotta love it!

Israel at War Watch: Hezbollah Cowardly Blends and Then Fires Rockets
Vital Perspective via Powerline has a telling video that was shot in Lebanon yesterday:
The Link is here.
Watch as a Hezbollah terrorist drives up to a home, parking his car, walking next door to another civilian building where he proceeds to fire several rockets on Israeli cities. Seconds later, he is targeted by an Israeli aerial attack and is destroyed.
No uniforms and they hide among civilians, including women and children…..cowards if you ask Flap.
And what about Iran? They can sure bloviate. All talk and No COJONES……

Israel at War Watch: Hezbollah Web Site Booted From Texas
San Antonio Express-News: Hezbollah Web site booted in Austin
The fight between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, so visible with bombs and rockets, has moved in less obvious ways into cyberspace, where it has cast a shadow over an unlikely locale this week: Austin. One of the war’s hottest targets popped up in the state’s capital and then disappeared under cyber-fire Monday. It was the Web site of Hezbollah’s much-hunted propaganda arm, the satellite television operation known as Al-Manar, which is outlawed in the U.S.
With Israeli planes striking at its transmission facilities in Lebanon, Al-Manar set up its Web site on the servers of Austin-based Broadwing Communications as an alternative for Hezbollah to stream a message that warplanes have been trying to stop since Israel started its counteroffensive.
Broadwing’s deal, however, was problematic because the U.S. government in March declared Al-Manar a terrorist entity, making it illegal for any U.S. firm to do business with it.
After a San Antonio Express-News inquiry about the deal Monday, a Broadwing Communications spokeswoman confirmed it had sold server space to Al-Manar through a third party in Beirut and decided to take the site down.
“We did not know that we had a customer that had a relationship with Al-Manar,” Laura Borgstede said Monday night.
On Tuesday, Al-Manar’s Web site popped up again, this time on an India-based server, Brainpulse. But when contacted by the Express-News on Tuesday, company officials there said they too had severed relations with Al-Manar.
Al-Manar’s Web site was tracked to the Austin company’s servers by a private group in Illinois called the Society for Internet Research. It bills its mission as combating Islamic extremist use of the Internet and regularly tracks radical Web sites that raise money and recruits for violence in hopes of hounding them out of cyberspace.
The organization’s founder, Aaron Weisburd, said the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East hasn’t been kind to more than 20 other Hezbollah Web sites, many of them carried by U.S. companies, as activists like himself and probably Israeli government hackers target them, especially Al-Manar.
“Of all the Hezbollah sites, Al-Manar is like ‘It,'” Weisburd said. “It’s well known among Arabs throughout the world, and because they’ve been booted off a number of satellites, particularly in Europe, their way of getting content out is going to be online, and so that makes this Web site important. It gets heavy traffic.”
The U.S. State Department long ago declared Hezbollah a terror organization. The group says it is dedicated to the elimination of Israel but broadcasts a strident anti-American message.
Interesting…..and fancy that……Islamofascist sponsored anti-America propaganda websites popping up in the USA.
It sounds to Flap, it is about time that the FBI start investigating some of these companies and the federal U.S. Attorneys get over their asses and prosecute.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran still Considering P-5-Plus-1 Proposal
File picture of Iranian technicians at the Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facilities (UCF), 420 kms south of Tehran. The UN Security Council has ordered Iran to halt its controversial nuclear activities by August 31 or face the threat of sanctions.
AP: Iran VP: Country still considering offer
Visiting Iranian Vice President Isfandiar Rahim Mashaee said Wednesday that Iran was still considering a Western incentives package offered to Iran in exchange for suspending uranium enrichment, a news report said.
But Mashaee also accused the West of “using pressure, not dialogue, to try to deny Iran its rights” during a meeting with Japan’s Foreign Minister Taro Aso, Japan’s Kyodo News agency reported.
Tick Tick Tick
Iran previously stated a self-imposed deadline of August 22 and the UNSC has passed August 31.
Who REALLY thinks Iran will approve the P-5-Plus-1 proposal?
NO ONE…….
Stay tuned…

Senator Joe Lieberman Watch: Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to Campaign for Ned Lamont
Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., right, speaks to parishioners with the help of an interpreter at Iglesia Cristiana El Buen Pastor in Bridgeport, Conn., Sunday, July 30, 2006. Lieberman and his challenger Ned Lamont campaigned in Bridgeport churches, each reaching out to black and Hispanic voters to support their candidacies for the Democratic nomination for Senate.
New York Post: NEW WOE FOR SENATOR JOE
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will hit the trail today in support of the man challenging Sen. Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic primary.”I think Joe Lieberman is a nice and decent man . . . but his policies are not what the party ought to be standing for,” Sharpton told The Post yesterday.
“He has been much more aligned with George Bush” on specific issues than he should be, Sharpton said.
As the pandering to core Democrat constituencies continue.
Joe had better concentrate on gathering those signatures for an independent run……
Update photo from Michelle Malkin via Jane Hamsher:
Those lefty netroots folks really want Lieberman’s hide. They may get it next Tuesday but a likely loss in November.

Representative Cynthia McKinney Watch: New Poll Has Hank Johnson Leading by 15 Points
Georgia 4th Congressional District Democratic candidate Rep. Cynthia McKinney, right, speaks to Hank Johnson, during a runoff debate on the set of Georgia Public Television, Monday, July 31, 2006, in Atlanta. The candidates assembled for a live debate in front of an audience at the GPTV studios as part of the Atlanta Press Club 2006 debate series.
WXIA: Poll: Johnson Leads McKinney by 15
A new InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion poll for the Democratic primary runoff in Georgia’s 4th Congressional district shows challenger Hank Johnson maintaining his lead over incumbent U.S. Representative Cynthia McKinney by a full 15 percentage points as the runoff election looms closer.
McKinney’s totals moved up from the last poll late last week, but she still sat well behind former DeKalb County Commissioner Johnson.
Poll results:
Hank Johnson – 49 percent
Cynthia McKinney – 34 percent
Undecided – 17 percent.Voters in Gerogia’s 4th Congressional District appear to be done with Cynthia McKinney and she is becoming desperate in her attempt to hold office:
Editor & Publisher: Congresswoman Sues ‘Atlanta Journal-Constitution’ for Libel
Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney filed charges against the newspaper’s editor Cynthia Tucker and publisher John Mellott for an editorial column that ran in the Sunday July 30 paper about McKinney’s alleged altercation with police, according to All Headline News.
McKinney’s attorney, J.M. Raffauf, said the column describes McKinney whacking a police officer with her cell phone, a charge McKinney denies.
The suit says that other facts were misstated including a reported suggestion by McKinney that President Bush had known about the September 11 terror attacks in advance, and had allowed the plot to unfold so that he and his friends could profit from the resulting wars.
The suits says that McKinney wants an “immediate retraction in writing these false and libelous statements” and “demands that your retraction and correction be accompanied by an editorial in which you specifically repudiate your libelous statements.”
***UPDATE***
Now Editor & Publisher is reporting: UPDATE: ‘Atlanta Journal-Constitution’ Not Sued by Congresswoman
The column in question by Cynthia Tucker of AJC is here.
Obviously, the non-lawsuit but request for retraction is an attempt to “blame” the Atlanta newspaper for her conduct and extreme views. And McKinney is probably mad that the Atlanta Journal-Constituion endorsed Hank Johnson. The editorial is here.
McKinney has NO hope of winning this libel non-lawsuit Flap. But, this may be her last chance to elicit enough pathos to win sympathy from the voters prior to next Tuesday’s run-off election.
An election that Flap handicaps McKinney will LOSE.
Stay tuned……
