Iraq War Watch: Hans Blix – Iraq Better Off Under Saddam

Former chairman of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission Hans Blix (L) presents his final report to German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier during his visit at the foreign ministry in Berlin October 23, 2006.

IOL: Iraq better off under Saddam, says Blix

Former United Nations chief weapons inspector Hans Blix on Wednesday described the United States-led invasion of Iraq as a “pure failure” that had left the country worse off than under the rule of Saddam Hussein.

Blix said the situation would have been better if the war had not taken place.

“Saddam would still have been sitting in office. Okay, that is negative and it would not have been joyful for the Iraqi people. But what we have gotten is undoubtedly worse,” he was quoted as saying.

Not joyful for the Iraqi people?

This fellow NOW supports a notoriously brutal dictator versus a country striving for democracy and fighting for its life. How about contributing positively to the situation? No, that would be asking too much.

Are your views due to all of the Muslim immigration into Scandinavia? Ya know, don’t want to offend those Muslims.

What a MORON……

Take of your blinders or at least open your mind, ‘not too must though’ you might see what the rest of the World sees.

I frankly don’t care what other folks in other countries think about the Iraq War. The United States is fighting a war on terror in Iraq and Saddam was part of it.

A better life eventually for the Iraqi people is a given when we finish the job.

George Bush gave Saddam a chance to leave Iraq with safe passage to the country of his choosing to which he REFUSED. Lay the blame for the war in Iraq squarely where it should be: On the shoulders of Saddam Hussein. He had countless opportunities to avoid his downfall but he would not cooperate with the International community over the terms of the ceasefire agreement from Gulf War I.
