University of Pennsylvania Watch: President Dumbass Apologizes for Halloween Flap
On October 31, the actual Halloween day, Amy Gutmann, the UPenn President, hosted a party at her house. Here is a photo of us. I asked her if I can take another photo where I’m pointing my gun at her, but she did not allow it.
University of Pennsylvania: Statement by President Amy Gutmann
Each year, the president hosts a Halloween party for Penn students. More than 700 students attend. They all crowd around to have their picture taken with me in costume. This year, one student who had a toy gun in hand had his picture taken with me before it was obvious to me that he was dressed as a suicide bomber. He posted the photo on a website and it was picked up on several other websites.
The costume is clearly offensive and I was offended by it. As soon as I realized what his costume was, I refused to take any more pictures with him, as he requested. The student had the right to wear the costume just as I, and others, have a right to criticize his wearing of it.
A MORONIC answer from a MORON…….
The U Penn Board of Trustees should reprimand President Amy.
But, Flap bets they won’t………PC BS.
Good for her for not taking the John Kerry route and blaming “assorted right-wing nutjobs.”
But Myers makes an important point.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Six Arab States Want to Go Nuclear
Times Online UK: Six Arab states join rush to go nuclear
Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, UAE and Saudi Arabia seek atom technology
The spectre of a nuclear race in the Middle East was raised yesterday when six Arab states announced that they were embarking on programmes to master atomic technology.
The move, which follows the failure by the West to curb Iran’s controversial nuclear programme, could see a rapid spread of nuclear reactors in one of the world’s most unstable regions, stretching from the Gulf to the Levant and into North Africa.
The countries involved were named by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. Tunisia and the UAE have also shown interest.
All want to build civilian nuclear energy programmes, as they are permitted to under international law. But the sudden rush to nuclear power has raised suspicions that the real intention is to acquire nuclear technology which could be used for the first Arab atomic bomb.
The feckless failure of the European Union and the United Nations in curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions has set off a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
The United States should NOT cooperate with this transfer of technology and should threaten withdrawl from the IAEA if they approve such.
The “POINT OF NO RETURN” for Israel and America to deal with Iran’s
nuclear weapon productionuranium enrichment is fast approaching.Iranian clergymen watch a Shahab-3 long-range ballistic missile fird by Iran ’s Revolutionary Guards in the desert outside the holy city of Qom. Iran has fired its longer-range Shahab-3 ballistic missile on exercise for the first time as it began 10 days of war games amid a mounting standoff with the West over its nuclear programme.
Stay tuned…….

Mark Steyn Watch: America Alone To Be SMUGGLED Into Canada
National Post: Steyn’s book can’t be found in Canada
A Canadian author’s book about the need to defend Western civilization against Islam’s demographic juggernaut — and the United States’ vital role in that effort — has become a best-seller in the United States, but remains all but impossible to buy at stores in this country.
Conservative columnist Mark Steyn’s book America Alone has shot up best-seller lists: It stands at 13th on The New York Times list and 23rd on Amazon.com.
But Canada’s largest book seller, Indigo Books and Music Inc., does not have the book in stock at its Chapters outlets or its other book-selling subsidiaries.
Mr. Steyn has charged that Indigo and its chief executive officer, Heather Reisman, underestimated demand for his book as a means of “boycotting” it.
His publisher made several attempts to persuade Indigo that its first order of several hundred books was inadequate, he said.
Mr. Steyn wrote in Maclean’s, “If Heather Reisman carries on boycotting me, I should be able to retire to Tahiti within the year.”
Flap supposes the literary elite in Canada prefers not to read what Steyn has written which is the hard truth. So, what better way to censure than to misorder the books and claim it is the American publisher’s fault.
Now, Flap has a vested interest in this distribution of books because at future reprintings I get my name for a photo credit on the back flap (little pat on the back).
Canadian readers (who cannot order their books online and must visit a book retailer) should do what Mark suggests:
“My advice to Canadian readers is drive over to the Buffalo Barnes & Noble and smuggle it back in, cunningly hidden under the Algerian terrorist in the back seat.”
Another example of the failed social democracy of Canada……a waiting line for books.
The reader can purchase the book here.
And it is number two on Amazon’s Canada Best Sellers List.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran Test Fires Three New Missiles in the Gulf
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards fire missiles during a war game in a desert near the holy city of Qom, southeast of Tehran, November 2, 2006.
AP: Iran test fires 3 new missiles in Gulf
Iran has successfully test-fired three new models of sea missiles in a show of force to assert its military capacities in the Gulf, military officials said Friday.
Television showed footage of the elite Revolutionary Guards firing the missiles from warships and from mobile launching pads on the shore.
Iranian forces have previously test-fired missiles in the crowded Gulf waters, but the new maneuvers, which began on Thursday, appeared to be Iran’s response to a U.S.-led military exercise held earlier this week in the same zone.
“The maneuvers are not a threat to any neighboring country,” said Gen. Ali Fazli, the spokesman for the Iranian war games.
Iran nonetheless insisted the new sea missiles enhanced its military muscle in the Gulf, where most of the world’s oil is extracted.
The weapons are “suitable for covering all the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian gulf and the sea of Oman,” said Adm. Sardar Fadavi, the deputy navy chief of the Revolutionary Guard.
Some 20 percent of the world’s oil supply passes every day through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The three new types of missiles, named Noor, Kowsar, and Nasr, have a range of about 106 miles and were built for naval warfare, TV reported. Iranian sea missiles previously had a range of 75 miles, TV quoted Fadavi as saying.
Well, when military action is taken against Iran’s nuclear facilities by Israel and the United States these missiles will be fired at Israel, oil tankers in the Gulf and if the Iranians have COJONES American ships/troops. World oil distribution will be disrupted for many months.
However, Iran’s economy would be crippled and they would risk nuclear counter-attacks from Israel and the United States.
So, the Iranian military exercises are a western media show. In the meantime, Israel will be busy deploying theater missile defense (sea and land) and have their offensive nuclear weapons on high alert.
United States carriers and other warships will be at risk but there are counter-measures.
But, most importantly – an attack on a United States warship would unleash the entire United States arsenal against Iran – nuclear as well.
Stay tuned for the protracted and worthless United Nations attempt to sanction Iran for their nuclear program.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards fire a Shahab-2 missile during military manoeuvres outside the holy city of Qom. Iran began 10 days of war games amid a mounting standoff with the West over its nuclear program, official media said.
