CIA Leak Case Watch: Valerie Plame Wilson Sheds Little Light in Congressional Appearance
AP: Plame Sheds Little Light in Leak Case
Valerie Plame put a glamorous face and a personal story to Democrats’ criticism of the Bush administration Friday, telling a House committee that White House and State Department officials “carelessly and recklessly” blew her CIA cover in a politically motivated smear of her husband.
Plame, the operative at the center of the leak scandal that resulted in last week’s criminal conviction of a former top White House official, created more of a stir by her presence on Capitol Hill than by her testimony.
Hell, Waxman wants to IMPEACH Bush (note the Code Pinko behind Plame) and Plame wants to sell books.
Political theater?
NOPE
Political disgrace.
The President MUST pardon Scooter Libby.

Giuliani Notes: Police Officers Association of Michigan Endorses Rudy
Former New York Mayor and current presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani answers questions from reporters during a news conference at the Best Western Sterling Inn in Sterling Heights this afternoon. U.S. Rep. Candice Miller, left, and James Tignanelli, center, president of the Police Officers Association of Michigan, endorsed Giuliani. Tonight, Giuliani will be the featured speaker at the Macomb County Lincoln Day Dinner.
Detroit Free Press: Mich. police group endorses Giuliani
The 14,000-member Police Officers Association of Michigan gave its support this afternoon to the presidential campaign of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
“On 9-11, only hours after the planes had hit the buildings, America had found a leader — Rudy Giuliani,†said James Tignanelli, president of POAM. “We’ve heard one candidate talking about walking off a cliff, another quoting old Southern poetry. But that’s not what we’re looking for. We need a president like Rudy Giuliani.â€
The endorsement is the second major one Giuliani has received in recent weeks in Michigan. U.S. Rep. Candice Miller, a Harrison Township Republican, endorsed him and is the chairwoman of his campaign in Michigan.
She was scheduled to introduce him tonight at the Macomb County Lincoln Day dinner, expected to draw more than 1,000 Republicans.
The Quote:
“This endorsement means a great deal to me,†said Giuliani. “These people are my heroes.â€
Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani stands with members of the Police Officers Association of Michigan in Sterling Heights, Mich., Friday, March 16, 2007. James Tignanelli, president of the 14,000-member Police Officers Association of Michigan, said the group is backing the former New York mayor because of the leadership he showed after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Giuliani Notes: Rudy Beating Hillary by 8 Points
Rasmussen Reports: Election 2008: Giuliani 49% Clinton 41%
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) leading New York Senator Hillary Clinton (D) 49% to 41% in an early Election 2008 match-up. Those figures are close to the lead voters gave the Mayor in our late February poll. Support for both candidates has dipped slightly since then, and Giuliani no longer crests above 50%. But the new numbers are consistent with the arc we’ve seen since November showing the mayor gradually increasing his advantage.
And in last week’s Rasmussen poll, the Mayor continues to lead in the GOP race for the Republican presidential nomination – leading his nearest competitor Senator John McCain by 21 percentage points.
Hizzoner continues to surge and some negative campaigning has commenced.
Is this campaign shaping up for a Rudy landslide?
Stay tuned…….

Iran Nuclear Watch: Ahmadinejad Faces Off With United Nations
Islamic revolution in Tehran in this February 11, 2007 file photo. Iran said on Friday no amount of U.N. pressure would deter it from its nuclear program, a day after major powers agreed a plan to impose new sanctions
AFP: Iran president wants nuclear face-off with UN Security Council
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad refused again on Friday to stop sensitive nuclear work and prepared to confront the UN Security Council face to face over a proposal for wider sanctions against Iran.
“The Iranian nation possesses the nuclear fuel cycle and will not go back on that,” he told a rally in central Yazd province, cited by the semi-official Fars news agency.
“Don’t think you can block the Iranian nation’s pathway with these sittings and meetings,” Ahmadinejad told world powers, which fear Iran’s nuclear programme could be diverted towards weapons development.
“The Iranian nation is moving speedily on the path to progress, and the enemies’ pressures and threats do not affect the nation’s will,” state new agency IRNA quoted him as saying.
And Iranian President Ahmadinejad will travel to New York to harangue his bellicose nonsense at the United Nations Security Council.
The United Nations Security Council and the five permanent members plus Germany have made it clear to Ahmadinejad, the Iranian Mullahs and the Iranian people: you shall NOT possess a nuclear weapon NOR possess the capability of clandestinely producing one.
Yet –
Iran has refused to halt uranium enrichment despite United Nations Resolution 1737.
Ahmadinejad will bellow and bluster at the UN and Iran WILL NOT stop uranium enrichment.
The UNSC will then impose new meaningless sanctions and eventually Israel and the United States will get fed up with the stalling and bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities.
End of story….
