Giuliani Notes: Draft Dodger Rudy? Hardly

giulianiapril15aweb

Republican presidential hopeful former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani autographs a baseball for Patrick Smith, of Kansas City, Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Des Moines, Iowa.

RUDY IS CHILLED BY DRAFT

This is an old but re-planted story by Retired General Wesley Clark’s lefty advocacy group VoteVets.org which is a part of the larger LEFTY Labor supported group, American United for Change.

So, what is the intent of this rehashed story that was used against Rudy when he first ran against David Dinkins for Mayor of New York in 1989.

Why, it is to soften up Rudy in the GOP primaries so that he will not gain the GOP nomination – DUH!

And why is that you ask?

Does Hillary REALLY want to run against Rudy?

NO

She is losing to Rudy in almost every national poll and in the electoral college estimates Rudy wins handily.

The strategy is to have LEFTY Iraqi War Vets, Swift Boat Rudy as a draft dodger – which by the way he is NOT. But, Hillary’s husband, Bill is. And husband Bill is an impeached President who pardoned Marc Rich, who Rudy indicted on criminal federal tax evasion and making illegal oil deals with Iran charges.

Might this be a reason to try to dispose of Rudy early. The Marc Rich story will make some fine television commercials.

The charges against Rudy are bogus and are old. But, this will not stop the LEFT from trying.

Also, answer me this?

What military experience has

Hillary Clinton?

Barack Obama?

John Edwards?

Oh, you answer NONE.

You are correct.

On the side, the last President Flap remembers as having any sort of significant military experience in their background was Jimmy Carter.

And we all know how well he did as President.

Wes Clark, give it a rest.

Not a draft dodger? Please tell me, when did Rudy serve in the military? Did he take his turn in Vietnam so some poor working class schmuck didn’t have to go over for him, and maybe not come home?

Wes Clark took four bullets from a Viet Cong AK-47. I guess he’s earned the right to call a spade a spade… or a draft-dodger a draft-dodger. Like a president whose daddy hid him out in a non-deployable National Guard unit, or a vice-president who got 5 deferments because he had “other priorities.”

I only hope I live long enough to see all the college Young Republicans who are too good to enlist now, when they grow up and try to run for office. There is no draft for them to dodge, but they will still be chickenhawks who forfeit any legitimacy to lead in a country they refused to serve.

Rudy is NOT a draft dodger. He did not serve in the military, had legal deferments and this disqualifies him to run for office or the Presidency?

    Give me a break!

He was a United States Attorney for what 6 years and Mayor of New York City for 8. Is this not serving your country in a different way?

Wes Clark had a distinguished academic and military career. However, I would never vote for him as President. I find his presence unsettling, his character down-right weird and his policy pronouncements to be unbalanced.

We have civilian control of our military, do we not?

Are you saying, sir, that only ex-military Americans can run or are qualified to be President?

It has been rare that a military leader has become a candidate for President. But, a military career should not be a pre-requisite to seek the presidency or other elective office.

After all, look at Bill Clinton. Now, he was elected President and how many bullets did he take while dodging the draft?
