Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., delivers a speech about terrorism, Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington. Obama said Wednesday that he would send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists even without local permission if warranted — an attempt to show strength when his chief rival has described his foreign policy skills as naive.
…..Just because the President misrepresents our enemies does not mean we do not have them. The terrorists are at war with us. The threat is from violent extremists who are a small minority of the world’s 1.3 billion Muslims, but the threat is real. They distort Islam. They kill man, woman and child; Christian and Hindu, Jew and Muslim. They seek to create a repressive caliphate. Drew Cline points out that Obama has picked up on Rudy’s line.
In his speech on terrorism today, Sen. Barack Obama referred to the war on terror with a term almost identical to the one Rudy Giuliani invented for his campaign. Instead of saying “war on terror,†he said “al-Qaida’s war against us. . .†and “the terrorists are at war with us.â€
Rudy’s coinage is “the terrorists’ war on us.â€
Barack, you AIN”T Rudy but like Slow Joe Plagiarizing Biden, you know a good line, now don’t ya?
Sheesh – empty suit indeed……..
