Iran Nuclear Watch: Nuclear Issue Closed
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addresses the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters, Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007.
Iran leader says nuclear issue closed
Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared Tuesday that Iran’s disputed nuclear program is closed as a political issue and said Tehran will ignore a U.N. Security Council demand imposed by “arrogant powers” to curb its nuclear program.
Instead, he told world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly that Iran has decided to pursue the monitoring of its nuclear program “through its appropriate legal path,” the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency.
When Ahmadinejad was ushered to the podium, the U.S. delegation walked out, leaving only a low-ranking note-taker to listen to his speech, which indirectly accused the United States and Israel of major human rights violations. State Department spokesman Gonzalo Gallegos said the U.S. wanted “to send him a powerful message.”
The Iranian president spoke shortly before German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the diplomats of “disastrous consequences” for Israel and the world if Iran acquires a nuclear bomb. “The world does not have to prove to Iran that Iran is building a nuclear bomb. Iran has to convince the world that it is not striving towards such a bomb.”
The nuclear issue IS closed for the United States and Israel.
Next, will come European Union-American harsh economic and travel sanctions. When the sanctions fail within six months or so, the United States Navy will blockade the Iranian import of gasoline.
Of course, Israel may become impatient and bomb Natanz and other Iran nuclear facilities straight away.
Stay tuned………

Iran Watch: A Crush on Ahmadninejad? Part Two
LGF: Daily Kos: Ahmadinejad ‘Sounds Entirely Too Reasonable’
No wonder those that are beating the war drums against Iran didn’t want Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak any place American might hear him. Thanks to Columbia University and CPAN he was heard by many. He sounds entirely to reasonable. Hearing his own word doesn’t help the cause of demonizing him as a madman and the most recent Hitler. This is someone we definitely should be talking to. so in the interest of promoting peace and knowledge, I present these short excerpts from his talk at Columbia University today.

The LEFT has a funny way to help Rudy, now don’t they?
The Federal Elections Commission (FEC) SHOULD investigate MoveOn.org and the sweetheart deal they had with the New York Times. But, will they?
Doubtful.
But, keep the issue out there for Rudy, boys. It helps – especially with the fundraising.

Rudy Giuliani in New York yesterday
Rasmussen: Election 2008: Florida Republican Primary
- Rudy – 29% (30%, previous month)
- Thompson – 23% (17%)
- McCain – 12% (7%)
- Romney – 11% (15%)
Rudy continues to lead in Florida even with a Thompson bump due to his recent announcement of candidacy. This is the second poll in the past few days that shows Rudy leading.
McCain has increased but has no organization in the state.
Mitt Romney is not gaining traction in Florida and has decreased 4 points since last month. He now resides in fourth place.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Sarkozy – Nuclear Iran Could Lead to WAR
France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy addresses the 62nd United Nations General Assembly at the U.N. headquarters in New York, September 25, 2007.
Sarkozy says letting Iran go nuclear could cause war
Allowing Iran to acquire nuclear weapons could destabilize the world and lead to war, French President Nicolas Sarkozy told the United Nations on Tuesday.
In his maiden speech to the U.N. General Assembly, Sarkozy said: “There will be no peace in the world if the international community falters in the face of nuclear arms proliferation.”
Iran was entitled to nuclear power for civilian purposes, he said, “but if we allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, we would incur an unacceptable risk to stability in the region and in the world”.
In a broader warning against the dangers of appeasement, the new French leader said: “Weakness and renunciation do not lead to peace. They lead to war.”
Iran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but the West suspects the Islamic Republic of enriching uranium to develop a nuclear weapons capability.
Underlining French support for tougher sanctions against Tehran, sought by the United States but opposed by Russia and China, Sarkozy said: “We can only resolve this crisis by combining firmness with dialogue.”
Well, DUH.
France is finally “GETTING IT.”
And where would Iran’s nuclear tipped missiles be first aimed? Why at France and the rest of Europe.
The United States has defensive missile capability and a nuclear arsenal that would create ASH out of Iran if the United States were attacked.
China and Russia have cut side deals for Iranian oil and are supplying Iran with advanced military technology.
Where does this leave Europe should Iran develop nuclear weapon technology and capability?
Exactly
In the sights of nuclear blackmail and/or terrorist nuclear attack.
The French President, unlike Jacques Chirac, his predecessor, understands the Islamofascist propensity for deceit and then control. He has seen it first hand in France.
Watch for one last push for United Nations sanctions, then America-EU sanctions and then the inevitable bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
