Giuliani Poll Watch: Nevada – Rudy Leads Latest Poll
Republican presidential hopeful, Rudy Giuliani, speaks at the old town hall during a campaign stop in Exeter, N.H., Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007
- Rudy, 28 percent.
- Fred Thompson, 23 percent.
- Mitt Romney, 17 percent.
- John McCain, 9 percent.
More good news for Hizzoner.
This is not good news for Mitt Romney since the conventional wisdom has him easily winning Nevada because of its large Mormon population and proximity to Utah.
Nevada looks like a competitive GOP caucus state with the Mayor leading the pack.
In the general election portion of the poll there is additional good news for Rudy:
Clinton does not fare well in a hypothetical general-election matchup against any of the top three Republicans. Against Giuliani, the former New York mayor would win 51 percent to 44 percent. The poll also showed former Tennessee Sen. Thompson ahead of Clinton, 50 percent to 44 percent. Republican voters’ third preference, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, also bested Clinton, 49 percent to 43 percent.
The Real Clear Politics Nevada GOP Poll Averages are here.

Michael Ramirez on Nobel Prize Winner Al Gore
ONE of the world’s foremost meteorologists has called the theory that helped Al Gore share the Nobel Peace Prize “ridiculous” and the product of “people who don’t understand how the atmosphere works”.
Dr William Gray, a pioneer in the science of seasonal hurricane forecasts, told a packed lecture hall at the University of North Carolina that humans were not responsible for the warming of the earth.
His comments came on the same day that the Nobel committee honoured Mr Gore for his work in support of the link between humans and global warming.
“We’re brainwashing our children,” said Dr Gray, 78, a long-time professor at Colorado State University. “They’re going to the Gore movie [An Inconvenient Truth] and being fed all this. It’s ridiculous.
Remember Gore once claimed he was the inventor of the internet.
The Nobel Prize committee has been losing credibility for years. This is a “POLITICAL” award not one based on science or any other objective measure.

Giuliani Poll Watch: Contending New Hampshire
U.S. presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani (R-NY) (C) is seated between U.S. Supreme Court justices Samuel Alito (L) and Antonin Scalia (R) at a National Italian American Foundation gala dinner in Washington October 13, 2007.
New Hampshire GOP Marist Poll:
The Margin of error for this poll is 4.5%.
The question is: With Hillary pulling away from the Democrat field will more independent voters switch to vote in the GOP contest? Thereby, giving Rudy an advantage.
Let’s look at independent voters in the poll:
Then, there is the issue of electability.
With Rudy polling well in large Super Tuesday states will second tier candidate voters give up their candidates for Rudy because he is the electable candidate over Hillary?
Let’s look at the Electability portion of the poll:
All in all this is a good poll for the Mayor and demonstrates a horse race in New Hampshire.
