James Dobson to Endorse Mike Huckabee?

It is rumored that within the next ten days, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family will endorse Southern Baptist minister and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for President.

An influential social conservative Evangelical leader of the Christian RIGHT, Dobson has previously ruled out supporting Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Fred Thompson.

Now, with Mike Huckabee rising in the polls nationally and especially in Iowa is Dobson ready to jump on his political bandwagon?

But, Huckabee’s campaign is woefully underfunded. Will Dobson’s support be enough to put Huckabee in the top tier, despite the money shortfall?

So, who wins?

Huckabee and Giuliani (divides the social conservative vote in Iowa and South Carolina – delivers 3rd place in Iowa)

Who loses?

Mitt Romney who has ACTIVELY courted the pro-life social conservative vote and who now must contend in Iowa and South Carolina with Mike Huckabee.

Fred Thompson loses. He will finish NO higher than 4th place in Iowa or New Hampshire. A slight lead he currently enjoys in South Carolina will it hold up?

Did the Pat Robertson endorsement prove to be the GAMBIT that delivers the GOP nomination to Rudy? And, possibly the VP to Huckabee?
