President 2008,  Rudy Giuliani

Rudy Giuliani Watch: Iowa Debate Today

U.S. Republican presidential candidates former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R), former New york City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (C), and Senator John McCain (R-AZ) speak on stage prior to the Republican Party Debate in Johnston, Iowa, December 12, 2007

Winners:

  • Rudy Giuliani always shines in these formats – a master at communicating his ideas. His answers on what he would do in his first Presidential year was by far the best of the group.
  • Mitt Romney who was articulate and polished – but maybe too rehearsed.

Losers:

  • Mike Huckabee who was rumpled, muddling and indcisive. His answers rambled with jargon and attempts at humor that fell short.
  • Fred Thompson – one wonders why he is up there. Does he care? If I hear one more word about my Grandkids.
  • John McCain – needed to make a difference and didn’t. Too slow and mechanical in his answers.

Tremendous losers:

  • Alan Keyes – gave a boost to Rudy Giuliani by saying he wouldn’t support him. An ideologue who will never be a serious candidate – for anything.
  • Ron Paul – had the lowest polling by Frank Luntz on the dial-o-meter.

New Year’s Resolution question was lame and not Presidential. Huckabee fumbled it. Tancredo tried to finesse an attack of Huckabee.

A boring debate and NO ACTION.

Let the paid media wars begin……….
