Cartoon by Michael Ramirez

John McCain and Barack Obama were the big winners tonight in the Potomac Primary elections in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C..

If these two both win their party’s nomination (McCain is an almost certainty) there will be quite a contrast between candidates.

So, what will it be: symbolism or substance?

Flap gives the edge to symbolism and Obama.

But will it matter to the independents who will determine this election?

    A big question.

What happens if McCain selects Condi Rice as his VP and he runs against Obama?

As detestable as McLame is because of his opposition to the Bush tax cuts and co-authoring McCain-Feingold, he’s still light years more preferable to the eloquent but empty suit Osama Obama. McCain will prosecute the GWOT (save the open borders) and that is essential to the survival of our society.
