Hillary Clinton Watch: “BITTER” Anti-Obama Ad Up in Pennsylvania

Team Hillary is up with a television ad with Pennyslvania voters commenting on Barack Obama’s “BITTER” comment.
Bad news for Obama and plenty of good fodder for the GOP in the fall should Obama win the Democrat nomination anyway.

Judicial Watch Files FEC Complaint Over Hillary – Elton John Fundraiser
Singer Elton John (L) greets Democratic presidential candidate and U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and former President Bill Clinton (R) as he takes the stage before performing a fundraising concert for Clinton’s campaign at New York’s Radio City Music Hall April 9, 2008.
Foreign Nationals of which Sir Elton John is one are barred by federal law in contributing to political campaigns in the USA.
Didn’t Hillary and former President Bill Clinton know?
Well, Judicial Watch has filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) related to a fundraising concert by musician Sir Elton John on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Elton John, a foreign national, is prohibited by federal law from making any contribution to a federal, state or local election campaign.
“Recent news reports suggest that Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton for President have accepted an in-kind contribution from a foreign national, Sir Elton John, in contravention of federal electon laws,†Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton stated in an April 14 letter to the Office of the General Counsel for the FEC. “On behalf of Judicial Watch and its supporters, I hereby request that the FEC investigate this matter.â€
According to a press release issued by the Clinton campaign, the expressed intent of the concert was to raise funds for Hillary’s campaign for president. In the release, Elton John is quoted as saying, “I’m excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night.â€
Press reports also show that Sir Elton John, on March 17, 2008, through the Clinton campaign, sent out a mass email announcing the concert and soliciting support. The Elton John concert took place on April 9, 2008 and raised more than $2.5 million (from the sale of 5,000 tickets) for Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton for President.
However, according to 2 U.S.C. § 441e, “Contributions and donations by foreign nationals,†it is illegal for any foreign national to “make a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value…in connection with a Federal, State or local election.†The Washington Times reported March 27, 2008, that a “1981 FEC decision prohibited a foreign national artist from donating his services in connection with fundraising for a U.S. Senate campaign.â€
“It looks as if Elton John, a foreign national, gave a valuable, in-kind contribution to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, which is prohibited by law. The FEC and other authorities need to take appropriate action and investigate Hillary Clinton, her campaign, and Elton John,†stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
But, will the FEC do anything?
The Clintons have a history of soliciting foreign national contributions overtly or covertly. Remember Charlie Trie?
And, how do you value Elton John’s services? Will the Clinton’s refund the money?
Stay tuned……

Barack addresses the United Steelworkers Union in Steelton, Pennsylvania, April 13, 2008
You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
56% Disagree with Obama’s Comments on Small Town America
Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters nationwide disagree with Barack Obama’s statement that people in small towns “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 25% agree with the Democratic frontrunner while 19% are not sure.
And, look at this polling question result:
Do Obama’s Comments Reflect an Elitist View of Small-Town America?
- YES – 45%
- NO – 37%
- Not sure – 18%
In the meantime, Hillary is pummeling Obama:
“I don’t think he really gets it that people are looking for a president who stands up for you and not looks down on you.â€
This flap is achieving a life of its own.
Obama should have just apologized and moved on but he hasn’t. He is using a lame excuse that he did not choose his words wisely.
And, then goes on the attack against Hillary:
You know, there’s been a lot of talk in this campaign lately about who’s “in touch†with the workers of Pennsylvania. Senator Clinton and Senator McCain are singing from the same hymn book, saying that I’m “out of touch†– an “elitist†– because I said a lot of folks are bitter about their economic circumstances.
Now it may be that I chose my words badly. It wasn’t the first time and it won’t be the last. But when I hear my opponents, both of whom have spent decades in Washington, saying I’m out of touch, it’s time to cut through their rhetoric and look at the reality.
After all, you’ve heard this kind of rhetoric before. Around election time, the candidates can’t do enough for you. They’ll “promise you anything, give you a long list of proposals and even come around, with TV crews in tow, to throw back a shot and a beer.
Obama is NOT helping himself here. Some humility and contriteness MIGHT work.
Stay tuned as the “BITTER BATTLE” continues.

Hillary Clinton Watch: Can She Pull It Off?
John McCain apparently thinks so.
Republican presidential hopeful John McCain has confided to his inner circle that Hillary Clinton may yet be the Democratic nominee, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a development the senator from Arizona would personally welcome!
“Look, I know something about long odds, they had me written off last summer,” McCain explained over the weekend, according to a top source.
McCain would prefer to go up against Clinton in the general election, insiders reveal.
He has instructed his campaign staff to “chill out” on countering Hillary Clinton’s torrent of claims and promises as primary voting comes to end over the next 6 weeks.
McCain made the tactical decision to downplay Clinton’s tale of Bosnia sniper fire, leaving some McCain staffers frustrated and perplexed.
Instead, the critical focus has been on Barack Obama. McCain’s official website features 14 press releases taking on Obama since the first of the year, only 3 for the former first lady.
The Clinon Cabal is in full court press mode over the “BITTER FLAP” of Barack Obama. Yes, Hillary has a shot.
Watch the polls and see if she jumps to a substantial lead in Pennyslvania by mid-week. One such poll is already out, but wait until Thursday or Friday.
Indiana is another state to watch.
North Carolina will go to Obama no matter what because of its large African-American population who will vote overwhelmingly for him.
And, John McCain would rather face a divided Democrat Party whether it be Hillary or Obama. Flap thinks Obama is a weaker candidate at this point but either can be picked off with a fractured Democrat base.

The “BITTER” Barack Obama flap continues with Hillary attacking Obama as an Elitist.
Help remind voters of Obama’s elitism and arrogance.
