Why Sarah Palin Would Be the Best John McCain Vice President

sarahpalinandnationalguardbills

Governor Sarah Palin prepares to sign two bills into law – SB 214 and HB 326 – which will benefit Alaska Guard members

This piece pretty much says it all – even without mentioning Palin. All of the other candidates in the GOP Veepstakes are flawed in some way or another.

Let’s see. Governor Palin is:

  • Young and energetic
  • Conservative
  • Pro-Life Woman with a family
  • Experienced in Executive Government

Will Palin be a default McCain choice for Vice President or simply the BEST choice?

I’ve noticed this phenomenom for a couple months already. The writer, or TV or Radio broadcaster, will describe McCain’s perfect VP pick exactly to be Sarah Palin, but never mentions her name.

    It’s an interesting phenomenom.

By the way, puma4palin.blogspot.com is running a pretty funny post about Obama’s Chauncey Gardener moments.

Yep, somone else notices the same thing re the subject piece (from the Philly Inquirer):

I want to know her stance on the borders…if she’s open borders and amnesty, forget it. McCain is toast. As a conservative, I want to know this administration is not going to screw me over and sell out my kids’ future for cheap labor and cheaper votes. If someone can show me she’s for true border security, I’m in.

Mary – You want to know what? You want to know that this administration is not going to screw you over? You mean the Bush admin hasn’t screwed you over enough. Anyone who would vote for McCain agrees that we should stay in Iraq indefinitely, like he believes, which means you do not support the troops because you’re willing to watch them die when our freedom is not on the line (No “freedom isn’t free” stuff will work for you). It also means you agree that we should give tax breaks to oil corporations and invest zero in alternative fuel sources. It means that you don’t agree that we should cut CAFTA and NAFTA which have only proved to lose more American jobs, and you believe that the economy is fine. In other words you hate America and you are 100% unpatriotic.

This has been thoroughly debunked. Sarah Palin has been registered with the GOP since 1982. Her husband has been registered with them but so what?

Haha Mary, reading your comment reminds me the many fallacies I learned-classic examples from the textbook.

almost surprising. i should tell my professor to include that example in his exams.

if palin is so ready to be VP why then has the GOP put so many restictions on the first debate with biden. what are they scared of. never before in the history of the debates has there been restrictions like these. personally i think its because the palin camp knows she is a potential time bomb who is not ready yet for the big time. the GOP will regret nominating palin for the VP spot. palins only value to mccain is that she is a good distraction away from the policies. and i’m sick of hearing about poor sarah, the dems are picking on you.
and flap ,i bet after the first debate you will not be a supporter no more of palin. she just doesn’t have leadership qualities for these troubled times.

It certainly was a maverick choice. I think she may end up costing him the collection. He needs someone with a more economic background to help buffer the economic woes and questions.

It may have seemed like a good choice at the time, and while Palin is a smart person, it was the little missteps and blunders she made in the public arena- interviews, and little scandals-$150K on clothes, that worked against her.

While it looks like she may be a front runner for the Republican party, she will need to polish up on some of those issues.

Half the country is upset at Obama’s victory, the other half elated. I am always uneasy when there is such a large defeated minority in an election.
