Barack Obama – Dangerously Unprepared to Be President
New John McCain Ad: TinyTeam McCain attacks Barack Obama on foreign policy and most notably on calling Iran a “TINY” threat. McCain has slammed Obama previously on Obama’s remarks.“Before I begin my prepared remarks, I want to respond briefly to a comment Senator Obama made yesterday about the threat posed to the United States by the Government of Iran. Senator Obama claimed that the threat Iran poses to our security is “tiny†compared to the threat once posed by the former Soviet Union. Obviously, Iran isn’t a superpower and doesn’t possess the military power the Soviet Union had. But that does not mean that the threat posed by Iran is insignificant. On the contrary, right now Iran provides some of the deadliest explosive devices used in Iraq to kill our soldiers. They are the chief sponsor of Shia extremists in Iraq, and terrorist organizations in the Middle East. And their President, who has called Israel a “stinking corpse,†has repeatedly made clear his government’s commitment to Israel’s destruction. Most worrying, Iran is intent on acquiring nuclear weapons. The biggest national security challenge the United States currently faces is keeping nuclear material out of the hands of terrorists. Should Iran acquire nuclear weapons, that danger would become very dire, indeed. They might not be a superpower, but the threat the Government of Iran poses is anything but “tiny.â€
Now, Jake Tapper over at ABC News says Team McCain is being dishonest and the ad is unfair. But, here is the You Tube video of what Obama actually said and let the reader be the judge.
The ad is accurate in the context of what Obama said.
The script of “TINY:”
ANNCR: Iran. Radical Islamic government. Known sponsors of terrorism.
Developing nuclear capabilities to “generate power†but threatening to eliminate Israel.
Obama says Iran is a “tiny†country, “doesn’t pose a serious threatâ€.
Terrorism, destroying Israel, those aren’t “serious threats
Obama — dangerously unprepared to be president.
JOHN MCCAIN: I’m John McCain and I approved this message.
Note the new McCain theme: “dangerously unprepared to be President”

Barack Obama Denver Stage Resembles Greek Temple
News item: Obama speech stage resembles ancient Greek templeDemocratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.
The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos’ National Football League team plays.
Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington’s Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party’s nomination for president.
Wow!
This guy REALLY is a “ROCK STAR.”
But, not ready to lead……..

John McCain Watch: Kay Bailey Hutchison for Vice President Part Three – The Chatter
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, Senator John McCain and Texas Governor Rick Perry from March 2008
After Hillary Clinton’s speech last night at the Democrat National Convention and recent polling suggesting female dissatisfaction with Barack Obama’s failure to select Hillary as his running mate have led to increasing speculation that John McCain may be considering Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison as his Vice President.Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison’s long-shot prospect for vice president is getting a push from conservative and other pundits in the lead-up to next week’s Republican National Convention.
The latest flurry of speculation online and on cable television constitutes at least a third or fourth wave of chatter about Hutchison, whose name surfaces occasionally as a possible Republican vice-presidential candidate.
Hutchison, a delegate to next week’s convention, will address the gathering in Minneapolis-St. Paul on the subject of energy independence on Sept. 3, her office announced Tuesday.
The conventional wisdom at this time points to a Mitt Romney selection (Flap feels unfortunately) but if McCain wants to shake up the election and REALLY take an advantage into the fall, he should consider Hutchison and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
This would be a signal to American women that McCain and the Republican Party take their political aspirations seriously. Certainly, this would be a way to sway disaffected Hillary Clinton supporters and independents – constituencies the GOP needs to win.
Stay tuned……

Barack Obama Watch: The Bill Clinton Snub
This graphic pronouncement came up on Drudge just as Hillary was about to deliver her speech last night.Hillary Clinton will be on hand for Barack Obama’s acceptance speech, but according to a source close to former President Bill Clinton, he will not: the source tells CNN that Clinton will not join his wife at Invesco Field Thursday night.
Both Bill and Hillary need Barack Obama to lose to John McCain or they are both frozen out of the Presidency.
The Clinton Cabal will continue to undermine Obama’s candidacy.
Did anyone catch Michelle Obama’s countenance last night while Hillary was speaking. As Flap friend and fellow blogger Kate said via Twitter: “Die Bitch Die….” was what Michelle was REALLY thinking.
A party united? Hardly……
Stay tuned……

Barack Obama Watch: Joe Biden A Wise Choice for Vice President?
News item: Gallup Daily: No Bounce for Obama in Post-Biden TrackingIt’s official: Barack Obama has received no bounce in voter support out of his selection of Sen. Joe Biden to be his vice presidential running mate.
Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 23-25, the first three-day period falling entirely after Obama’s Saturday morning vice presidential announcement, shows 46% of national registered voters backing John McCain and 44% supporting Obama, not appreciably different from the previous week’s standing for both candidates. This is the first time since Obama clinched the nomination in early June, though, that McCain has held any kind of advantage over Obama in Gallup Poll Daily tracking.
And, after Hillary Clinton’s speech last night at the Democrat National convention, many pundits, Democrats and even Republicans are wondering why Barack Obama’s most important first decision as a Presidential nominee was Joe Biden. Why not Hillary Clinton?
A wise choice to select a long-time Pol with multiple baggage problems?
Probably not……

I am amazed, simply amazed, at the amazement of many liberals that Ayers and Dohrn should matter to anyone

Democratic 19th Senate District candidate Hannah-Beth Jackson has made a major commitment to cable television advertising for the duration of the fall campaign.
Public documents detailing political advertising purchased from Time-Warner show that Jackson this week placed an order for $525,000 worth of cable advertising through the end of October. The ads will run on cable franchises in Ventura, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and Santa Clarita. The total number of 30-second spots: 29,736.
The spots will run on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, USA Network, ESPN and the History, Travel and Food channels.

Set aside the fact that Obama was a mere lad when Ayers was setting bombs; today Ayers is an unreconstructed hard-left radical with dramatic views on education and society – as he explained to Hugo Chavez during a speech in Venezuela in 2006, "La educacion es revolucion!"
Obama worked for five years with Bill Ayers on education reform while they were both with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Are we being asked to believe that, just as Obama initially claimed to have been unaware of Jeremiah Wright's views, he was also unaware of Ayers current radicalism?
Coming soon – "That's not the Bill Ayers I knew".

Bill Clinton appeared to undermine Sen. Barack Obama again Tuesday.
The former president, speaking in Denver, posed a hypothetical question in which he seemed to suggest that that the Democratic Party was making a mistake in choosing Obama as its presidential nominee.
He said: "Suppose you're a voter, and you've got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don't think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?"

Barack Obama is striking back fiercely and swiftly to stamp out an ad that links him to a 1960s radical, eager to demonstrate a far more aggressive response to attacks than John Kerry did when faced with the 2004 "Swift Boat" campaign.
Obama not only aired a response ad to the spot linking him to William Ayers, but he sought to block stations the commercial by warning station managers and asking the Justice Department to intervene. The campaign also planned to compel advertisers to pressure stations that continue to air the anti-Obama commercial.

Democratic strategist Paul Begala took issue with Warner's comments, suggesting that more partisanship, not less, was needed at the party convention.
"This isn't the Richmond Chamber of Commerce," Begala said Tuesday.
On Monday, James Carville, who managed Bill Clinton's successful 1992 campaign, told CNN: "If this party has a message, it's done a hell of a job hiding it tonight, I promise you that."
