Why the Democrats Did Not Pass HR 3997 – the Financial Bailout Bill
Obama Never Took A Position On The Bailout Bill
Obama’s equivocation in voting “present” (in the video above) and if the House Democrats voted for an unpopular bill then they would be vulnerable in the November elections.
Duh!
The House GOP members knew they were being sandbagged by the House Democrat leadership and President Bush – hence the GOP votes against the plan.
Will McCain get it?
Only if he wants to be elected……
Update:
McCain just read a “milk-toast” statement not reflecting the rancor and angst among American voters. Mac better kick it in gear if he wants to win the Presidency.

No question about it, the Republicans are in a tough position. But if this is best for the country, they should step up and vote.
Ultimately Congress should represent their constituents. Tell you Congressional Representatives how you want them to vote, by voting on HR 3997 here…

this bill is horrible, it show just how much the professional politicians don’t care about “we the people”. it will all come back to bite you and me and our children.
I am ashamed of the way these pieces of crap are ruinning this country.

Although the bailout is for the best of the nation, I can’t help wondering why the government doesn’t come over and bail me out from financial trouble.

Is the new bill more popular than the bill that failed to pass?
That is like expecting John Kerry to kick it in gear back in 2004.

I think that there should be a national fund to bail out enterpreneurs whose business fail due to the banks failing. I employ 30 people but unless I get debt help I am gonna have to close down
