Sarah Palin Watch: The Dishonesty of CNN

Sarah Palin interviewed on CNN’s The Situation Room, October 21, 2008

Wow! Talk about DISHONEST journalism. CNN takes the prize today after they deliberately distort a quote from Byron York of National Review.

The full quote from Byron York:

Watching press coverage of the Republican candidate for vice president, it’s sometimes hard to decide whether Sarah Palin is incompetent, stupid, unqualified, corrupt, backward, or — or, well, all of the above. Palin, the governor of Alaska, has faced more criticism than any vice-presidential candidate since 1988, when Democrats and the press tore into Dan Quayle. In fact, Palin may have it even worse than Quayle, since she’s taking flak not only from Democrats and the press but from some conservative opinion leaders as well….

Yes, there are legitimate concerns about Palin’s lack of experience. Who wouldn’t, at the very least, wish that she had more time in the governor’s office on her résumé? But a look at Palin’s 20 months in power, along with interviews with people who worked with her, shows her to be a serious executive, a governor who picked important things to do and got them done — and who didn’t just stumble into an 80 percent job-approval rating.

Uhhhhh the context CNN?

Here is what CNN reporter Drew Griffin said:

“The press has been pretty hard on you, the Democrats have been pretty hard on you, but also some conservatives have been pretty hard on you as well. The National Review had a story saying that, you know, I can’t tell if Sarah Palin is incompetent, stupid, unqualified, corrupt or all of the above.”

Flap agrees with Hugh Hewitt in that Drew Griffin and his producer(s) at CNN should be fired but that won’t happen and Flap doubts they will EVEN apologize.

Who says there is NO media bias?

    palin answer is interesting.
in palin position she should be able to shake off critisism and think no more about it. but her answer seem to reflect her small town politics in which she target the individual. just like with the ‘troopergate affair’ and the librarian who wouldn’t take the books she didn’t like away. this reflects a personal style of intolerance which is dangerous for a democracy in that level of position palin is appling for. she shouldn’t micromanage in that position.

Sarah is a moron. haa haa, Liberals are gonna rule! We waited 8 years for this, Clinton was a great pres, Barack will be a great pres as well. 50.1% of the country knew Bush was a horrible choice on the first election, then again on the second election, but dumb-f*k rural america was just too stupid to realize it. It took a war, and near total collapse of our financial institutions, lost homes and jobs, and _finally_ America is waking up.
