Chris, since the RIGHT is now in the wilderness, much like in 1992 when Bill Clinton beat the incumbent President Bush, Flap is NOT listening to “ENTERTAINERS” like Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly. These fellows are great showmen but the gold standard for conservatives is now (as was in 1992) Matt Drudge and Rush Limbaugh.

William F. Buckley is gone and his successors at National Review pale in comparison. The talking heads from The Weekly Standard are no better.

Watch who Rush interviews over the next 6-12 months to see who emerges from the RIGHT.

Anyone want to bet that Sarah Palin is on the show alot?

Just read on article on Politico touting Romney for 2012. Course, they added Palin and Jindal and others in as a fig leaf, but Romney’s transparent hunger for power is kinda irritating now. As for Rush Limbaugh and Drudge, sure they have a lotta cred, but what we need now is someone who can channel the power of the internet. Unless that happens in between now and 2012, its as good as a lost cause.

The thought of Romney is scary. He will do nothing for the GOP.

Matt Drudge has already mastered the net as the most read website.

Rush and other conservatives must develop issues, present them on the internet, talk radio and internet radio much as Reagan did from 1976-1980.

Ideas matter. Substance over symbolism and that is where Newt Gingrich will help.
