Bush Shoe-Icide Attacker Muntadhar al-Zeidi Asks for Pardon From Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki

Shoes and Bush

Muntadhar al-Zeidi, the Iraqi journalist, who threw his shoes at President Bush has asked for a pardon from the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.

A spokesman for Iraq’s prime minister says the journalist who threw his shoes at President George W. Bush has asked for a pardon.

Spokesman Yassin Majid says that in a letter sent Thursday to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki the journalist described his behavior as “an ugly act” and asked to be pardoned.

Majid says that Muntadhar al-Zeidi in the letter recalls the kindness the prime minister once showed him during an interview in 2005 and asked for al-Maliki to show him kindness once again.

Al-Zeidi, a correspondent for an Iraqi-owned television station based in Cairo, Egypt, could face two years imprisonment for insulting a foreign leader.

What would a judge impose on a miscreant such as this here in America?

Probably a fine, community service and probabtion. Plus, the villain would have to allocute in front of the court his remorse.

Do it……

But, NO PARDON.

if you get two years for throwing a shoe, i wonder what you’ll get for illegally bombing and invading another country.

There can be a lot of finger pointing over who is responsible for the war … no one with any intelligence could really believe it was enacted because of one person … but with that subject aside … this journalist knew what he was getting into … if he has to pay the price then so be it … look at the outrage it has caused … he knew that … that’s why he did it … he wanted to play the martyr … now it’s time for him to be the martyr … he didn’t just throw his shoe at the President of the United States … he also hit my flag … he insulted every American … and I am appalled at his deliberate action …

pretty hard to repect the guy ultimately responsible for the destruction of your country and the death of hundreds of thousands.
how do you respect a war criminal anyway.

don’t be silly, he didn’t insult every American, only people who are like Bush and people like yourself. People who feel the own the world and have the right to administer justice. Well, the so called American Democracy is not other than a facade for robbery and crimes. Before the war the Iraquies had to put up with a dictator placed by the American Policy pursued by the rich Americans (the Bushes and others). After the war the Iraquies have had their natural resources stolen from them and for the future generations and do they have democracy? Please, what sort of the democracy do the Americans want to share with the world? A democracy that keeps the rich richer and the poor is exploited further. Iraq was never as miserable and poor as it is now. The war has turned Iraq into a wreck. All the shoes of dead Iraquies thrown at Bush would do justice!

does it make you feel better flap that knowing that all this bombing and killing was done in the name of freedom and democracy.
the US has destroyed iraq for the average iraqi, who can hardly fed his family[maybe he should try and eat this US style democracy]. life was alot better for the average iraqi under saddam than american occupation. i cannot see many arab countries lining up for this american democracy after seeing what iraq has turned into.

the stories I have hear from the military boys in Iraq … give a different story than that of the country being a wreak … schools are in session … the government is building … the only ones that seem to be complaining is the Taliban … and reading your blogs makes me ask myself … What kind of Americans are you … you all make me sick … you are so blinded by hate … you don’t even want to look at the truth in anything … only in radical opinions … I can’t see putting your head in the sand … but I think you need to take your heads out of the cesspool …

before the USA illegally bomded iraq, it had the best school system in the arab world. now its the worst. the population survives on only a few hours of electricity per day if any at all. raw sewerage is everywhere and only a few water purification plants are working. unemployment is skyhigh and the people bitter at continuing US occupation.the country is a wreck. that is why al ziedi threw his shoes at g.w.bush. when is america and the media going to acknowledge that the americians are not wanted by the iraqis and that they should all go home and leave iraq for the iraqis.
