Rush Limbaugh Fundraising for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee – Criticized By GOP House Member

DNCC-and-Rush

Certainly not the first time that the “EVIL” RUSH” has been used as a foil for Democratic Party pleas to replenish their political coffers.

Here is the audio/video:

But, what is interesting this time is that the President of the United States Barack Obama invokes Rush by brow beating members of the GOP leadership.

President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.

But, at least one GOP House member has taken the hint from the President and has criticized the talk show king – but for different reasons.

Rush Limbaugh may command a large following, but his caustic comments Monday about the GOP’s congressional leadership have at least one Republican House member defending his colleagues and offering an unusually candid critique of the talk radio powerhouse and his fellow commentators.

Responding to President Obama’s recommendation to Republican congressional leaders last week that they not follow Limbaugh’s lead, the conservative talkmeister said on his show that Obama is “obviously more frightened of me than he is Mitch McConnell. He’s more frightened of me, than he is of, say, John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., did not take kindly to this assessment in an interview with Politico Tuesday.

“I think that our leadership, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, are taking the right approach,” Gingrey said. “I mean, it’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks. You don’t have to try to do what’s best for your people and your party. You know you’re just on these talk shows and you’re living well and plus you stir up a bit of controversy and gin the base and that sort of that thing. But when it comes to true leadership, not that these people couldn’t be or wouldn’t be good leaders, they’re not in that position of John Boehner or Mitch McConnell.”

Rush never hesitant to respond, offers this reply to Rep. Gingrey:

Asked to respond to Gingrey, Limbaugh, in an email to Politico, wrote: “I’m sure he is doing his best but it does not appear to be good enough. He may not have noticed that the number of Republican colleagues he has in the House has dwindled. And they will dwindle more if he and his friends don’t show more leadership and effectiveness in battling the most left-wing agenda in modern history. And they won’t continue to lose because of me, but because of their relationship with the grassroots, which is hurting. Conservatives want leadership from those who claim to represent them. And we’ll know it when we see it.”

Exit Question: Who does Rush Limbaugh influence more the Democrats or the Republicans?

If all the Republicans in Congress signed a letter supporting Rush and condemning Obama for his comment, that would simply pull the rug out from under Obama’s agenda.

Boy, if you take things out of context, like the DCCC does, Rush looks like an evil man.
But then again, so would Jesus….

Rush Limbaugh sounds like he is in a position that no one can touch him. I don’t want to touch him, I just want to boycott the sponsors of his radio talk show. Hit him where it hurts! Anybody who is putting taxpayers money into sponsoring his “unamerican” comments don’t deserve me buying their products. I encourage all who don’t agree with his tactics to stop buying the products being sponsored by his show. Everyone talks about his freedom of speech. We have freedoms too! Turn off the radio, stop buying the products!

You do have the freedom to turn off the radio, so why do you want to take away others freedom to listen to whatever we want with your “unfairness doctrine”, that’s how it is in Cuba and I think I still live in a free country,I hope. Rush is the #1 talk radio host and that’s because he is one of the few people out there who speaks the truth and shows you where you can verify what he talks about and you have the right to disagree with him but nobody has the right, in a free country, to shut him up. You seem to forget that 57 million people voted against Obama because of his socialistic policies, and if Obamas tries to push his socialistic views, then we who voted against his views want him to fail, not the Country to fail just his policies and our voice and freedom still counts, just like yours counted and we had to listen to you guys whinning and complaining and telling lies about our President for the past 8 years. Voicing an opinion, even about the President is not “unamerican” ,you should know that. Stopping someone from voicing his opinion is!!
